He had nothing left in his legs by that time; he was lying down on the grass grimacing with pain at the extra-time interval. Bayern had no substitutions left and already playing with 10 men, so he had to stay on, fit or not.
Fair enough, he has mitigations. However rarely do you see a player turned inside and out in such a big game. It like like a child trying to catch a man. Hummels couldn't even pull him back

Carvajaal is not bad either. I think Madrid have the two best fullbacks in the game now.
So unlike what we all thought, Barca are getting no calls.
Numerous fouls have been ignored - with a few on Messi.
Messi also got hammered by Pjanic, who got no yellow because Neymar tried to kill him (and got booked).
Juve have been good, but Messi really should have made this game interesting by scoring his 'gimme' chance.
If Barca don't score by minute 70-80, expect a red or two from them ... They are fuming ...

Agreed, and then Ramos and Varane as CBs. Probably missing a top goalkeeper and then that defence is insanely good.
Goodbye, Dortmund. I don't know why Tuchel is getting a free pass from pundits, who never seem to question his reputation as a tactical genius, because in reality he has presided over a poor season and he has still a lot to learn as a coach. A bit of humility wouldn't hurt.

Felt that last year after we beat them ... however, they are building quite an offensive team (now - they need some good defenders).
Starting Durm and Dembele on the bench isnt the sign of a tactical genius.
It's performances like these that make me question Neymar's status alongside the best of the game.
He's got all the ability in the world but sometimes he has moments where he just keeps making wrong choices - it's not a playground match.
I also wonder at times whether he'd have been better off at Real where he would be let loose far more than he is at Barca.
