Champions league final: post match thread

As I watched it - the Barca game gets me most emotional ... Oddly enough, that feels like the peak for me emotionally where the impossible becomes the reality - the trophy caps it off, but those feelings from Barca were so incredible.

I have an admission to make – I still haven't watched that epic Barca game. I missed it live and just couldn't bear watching it before the final, only seen the goals. Will savor it in the summer, now that I know the whole saga had a happy ending.

Oh man ... you're going to cry like a little baby

Where can I get the best odds for us winning all seven next season? Don't worry, I won't cash out like Dreamy.

I want to address a lot of the post match chatter of how Spurs were the better side and they dominated the game...

Did they fuck. We scored early, let them have the ball, defended brilliantly, and watched them do fuck all except tire themselves out.

Even the "chances" they had were long range, speculative efforts - bar the Lucas half chance.

Thoroughly professional performance from the reds and we were never in any real danger.

We didn't play well in possession or in an attacking sense so much, but we didn't need to. We got the early goal, protected the lead, then killed the game. Job done.

..............BTW those Sky ratings were interesting, despite people saying we played poorly and Spurs edging the stats and dominating possession, they gave our 13 players (one unrated) 87 points (ave 6.69) vs Spurs 13 players (one unrated) 74 points (ave. 5.69).

That's not it. LFCTV has the post-match Madrid one, should post on Youtube in a day or so.

Good to have Hal so positive. Long may it last mate.

Just watched that compilation and man I forgot how crucial Allison has been in this campaign.

So many big saves - that one at the death against Napoli in particular.

What a hero.

Yeah, turns out having a great keeper is important! That Napoli moment felt momentous, and so it proved. He has embraced everything about being a big player at a huge club, and has just been a tremendous acquisition. Nobody deserved those celebrations more than him, and I think it's incredible, but perhaps revealing about his warm character, how much Ming has been supporting him in social media. After every game he has been flagging up Alisson's contribution. Fair play.

The Lucas Leiva song doing the rounds all weekend was boss. To the tune of Day-0

Leiva, Lucas Leiva

He's Brazilian and you'd never know

Players NOT signed by Klopp in Bold (may not be perfect).

Only Milner, Henderson. and Arnold on starting team sheet in Madrid, NOT Signed by Klopp. Only Milner bought by Rodgers

Why win when you dont need to. Too much effort, the big lesson of this season...DO WHAT COUNTS !!!!

I wasn't there, so "context", but that doesn't sound particularly affectionate

Gosh we're shit in Europe...should just focus on the domestic cups from now on.

It was like boxing performance from mayweather, it may look like you are in the fight with him but you are not even close. He keeps the fighters at bay with a good defence. We kept spurs at bay at restricting their chances until the 81 minutes. And then got our own knock out blow a few minutes later. Vvd had Kane then son in his pocket, a masterclass performance
