So Far

Bobby charlton fucks up and announces the wrong team

It seems to be a bit of a fucking balls up completely

He also doesn't show the camera the next team because his big sausage fingers are in the way

Figo didn't fuck up this much...and he uses just for men

Man City escapes Group of Death and paired with Bayern Munich, Villarreal

And United always gets an easy group...

Edit: Ok, I thought Barca, AC was gonna be Group of Death. With Napoli in Group A, looks like an interesting one for City though.

Did anyone google that team in United's group ?

Fotbal Club O?elul Gala?i is a Romanian football club based in Gala?i owed by FIFA President Sepp Blatter

Man United , Chelsea, Barca & Real - I guess these are the teams who'd be aiming to win it ....Bayern , Man City , Inter would expect to go QF at very least .

Man there are some shite names in there , ok they might deserve to be there blah blah but they hardly excite . Us and some of the traditional 'big' Italian teams need to sort their shit out - Fiorentina , Lazio , Roma, juventus - these names need to be back in there . I'd love Parma too but that's probably never going to happen .

I think they need to do something about the CL. The group stage has become almost completely pointless. A 64 team knockout with a guaranteed share of tv money for early losers would at least be interesting.

I'm going to guess no ! It's well hidden ...well maybe not .

Fair play to Shamrock Rovers becoming the first Irish team through to the group stages of the Europa League. Irish teams have come close over the past few years, and to do it when Celtic and Rangers both went out is great for the league here. Interesting to see who they get in the draw today.

I agree with you 100%. They won't be doing it of course as there would be a bigger chance of big teams getting eliminated earlier.

Also I'm tired of watching the same teams year after year so all those unfashionable Eastern-European teams are actually a breath of fresh air for me. Too bad they have almost zero chance of progressing as the current system favors the big clubs.

This year the groups are seriously just a Yawn. The big teams will go through virtually unchallenged.

City must be fucking buzzing with that group. I know I would be.

Not one yawn-fest draw but no 'big' clubs, & are capable of winning each game realistically.

Good start to their European adventures.

Someone on the radio yesterday said they're 14/1 to win it, that's not actually a bad price, they've gotta be in with a shout.

You're right, they won't do it, but in theory that problem could be solved by giving each team a guaranteed share of tv money for, say, the first 2 rounds, so even if they lost the first game they'd still be compensated. Possibly the total rights package would be more valuable anyway, given that the matches would be more attractive viewing and with a guarantee of no dead rubbers etc.
