is the best player in the league.

He is wonderful.

Was Gerrard that good at his age? Don't think so. Neither was Vieira nor Keane though tbf.

He's going to dominate the league in years to come, and to think that they still have Ramsey, Wilshere and Merida..

Merida is off to Atletico in the summer apparently.

He seems to have found consistency this season. He would tend to be immense for 2 months then go quiet for a couple but this season hes a shoe in for player of the year. That is unless Giggs scores a goal of course.

Different types of player. Fabregas will never be able to dominate a game and be as explosive as Gerrard can.

Luckily, we have Lucarse. Who is about the same age as Fabregas, and who many clowns on this site compared to Fabregas as "similar types of player"

Funny, I know.

I think I just died a little inside.

He's been absolutely immense this season. Class act. As for Merida there still seems a decent chance he'll stay but he's not that good to be honest. He'll turn out similar to players like Sidwell and Bentley in the sense that for a while people will think Arsenal should have kept them but then realise they wouldn't have made it.

So Merida's the new Jermaine Pennant? Maybe we should sign him...

Is Wilshere likely to go on loan this Jan?
I dont see it happening now mate, tbh. He'd have went to Burnley but for us having so many injuries (even though he never plays) but with Coyle leaving i dont see that happening and i cant see Wenger letting him go to Bolton, assuming Colyle would still be interested.

I haven't heard any other teams linked with him so at the minute i think he'll stay with us.

There must be at least *one* player that Lord Wenger Almighty let go too soon and regrets selling?
None spring to mind do they ?

Who was the fucking clown on here who claimed that Scholes was better than Fabregas at the age of 22?

I'll have a go:

Campbell (arf!)
Henry
Lassana Diarra
Pires
Erm...

Bugger

Tends to get it right. It could certainly be argued that Henry and Pires (and the re-signed Sol) could have stayed on for longer, but I think Diarra is the best bet; he's a player they should *never* have let go

Ashley Cole?

Haha

Diarra's the only one.

EDIT: Someone's just mentioned him.

Aside from that, erm... one could argue Bentley given that Blackburn made 17M on him or something like that, but then he'd never have got those opportunities at Arsenal, so meh.

Letting Flamini leave for free was a bad decision at the time. He hasn't done much since his move but he was a good player for them.

Yeah, but I think the 22.5m profit may have softened that particular blow
ah the one who got away.... Imagine Anelka and Torres upfront for us!

What royal fuckup that was

I was going to mention that, although Wenger tried to keep him there in the end so he didn't really let him go out of choice.

Is he still at Milan?

I believe so - don't think he's an automatic starter for the first team, but really have seen very very little of Milan, so not sure what they do these days.

I don't agree that Cesc doesn't control the game like Gerrard used to. I don't think Gerrard has ever been the type of player that controls a game. Gerrard has always been about powerfull runs, killer final ball and goals. I think this is why he's been pushed forward.

I think players that control the game dictate the tempo of the game and keeps the mid field ticking over. This types of player are the likes of Keane, Viera, Gary Mc etc.

Best signing he has ever made.................

after Henry.

Christ Wenger has bought some wonderful players.

Pires, Campbell, Lundjberg, Bergkamp, RVP, Arshavin, Cole, Clichy, Toure Petit, Veira, Flamini. Overmars, Anelka..... this could go on an on.
