Since Roman arrived, it's either been Man U or Chelsea, with City popping up last year (due to a huge cash injection).

Unless we are bought out by some Oligarch, or Arab multi billionaire, it just isn't going to happen.

And if some cunt wants to bring up supposed monies that Rafa and/or Gerard/Kenny wasted, you can get fucked.
 
Realistically I dont think it can be done unless a manager performs a miracle, or we get a huge investment, we missed our chance by bottling it in 2009. Simply, the league is improving quicker than we are.

Not a chance whilst Fsg are in charge I'm afraid. Getting into the champions league is the pinnacle of our ambition, and is likely to be for years. If ffp is implemented properly we may have a chance if we are managed well in the long term but for now cup runs are all we can hope for realistically
 
We can but it's highly unlikely. When you have a good transfer window, like our last one, you think it's possible, all we need is about 5 more windows just like that one. But we never have even two good windows in a row, ever.

So basically the secret is windows.

It suppose the best chance will arrive the season after Ginsoak goes. There's always a chance the new manager will struggle, at least short-term. That would leave the mega-rich Chelski and Man City, and we all know how they're quite capable of distracting themselves with internal squabbles and crises. We could sneak past them in such a situation. But it would take that kind of hugely improbable combination of lucky breaks.
 
I feel like I've walked into a party and one of the guests is a lot more drunk than the others (I'm looking at you @themn) and is behaving a bit out of sorts.

The owners of the house are warily watching him waiting for him to spill his drink over the new carpet.

I don't know. I know very little about football.

It might help if we could buy off the next batch of referees. We can't buy off the current batch as they're already owned and not for sale.

Ah, it's a golden rule that when you're waiting for someone to spill their drink, someone else will throw up instead. Hence the phrase, 'spews before spills'.
 
So, unless we get a Warren Buffet-type, we are basically resigned to *this* for FUCKING EVER ???!!!
 
I don't think we need to compete at the same level as Chelsea and City to win it, we've been very fortunate when it comes to money, we've just wasted tonnes of it.

We've spent loads in the last 5 years, enough to be contenders. We just need to start being clever about it, Coutinho and Sturridge are a massive step in the right direction professionally and financially. We're never going to attract the top tier well known types, not as consistently as City and Chelsea do, but when we can pick up a Coutinho, maybe we don't have to. And when you look at united, although they've built over 10+ years investing heavily in single players, they're not exactly littered with World renowned stars.

It can be done and will be done, have faith, coz it's all we've fucking got.

Money buys you success.. And we have very little.

It will be the Usual Suspects.. Chelsea will win it next Season..

When we get relegated, which will happen first, we will win the Championship.. So that the closest you will get.

Look at Brussia Dortmund. They've gone from being bankrupt to toppling massive spenders Bayern two years in a row to become Champions.

Look at the quality we've signed in Coutinho and Sturridge for £20M. There's no chance they are any worse than some of the best players for United, City and Chelsea.

We've got to be smarter than others, but brains and good decisions don't cost money. It can be done.

This is true. But neither our owner nor manager has shown brains or good decisions consistently.
