Buvac the Brain - gone

The key thing the journalist got right was was buvac was going. no one else called it.

He got it from another rag and then went with the story about him falling out with Klopp. They looked pretty matey last week against Roma when they were hugging after the goals and as for Buvac being out the loop, he didn't look out of the loop giving instructions to players against Roma and then Stoke.

This feels like a pako moment under rafa.

Yep, and we went to shit when Pako went.
I'm never sure how many 'managers' these days are just psychologists for the players, and how many are actual technical coaches out there on the training pitches. IT seems lots of the top managers have top coaches doing all the donkey work.
I hope it doesn't all go to shit if he has gone. And I also don't want to see sammy fucking lee or Gerrard on the touch line with him either.

Dunno. Asst managers come and go all over the place, most not with the seeming effect that was seen when Pako left. We need to believe Klopp is the actual brains behind the operation. Maybe it wasn't the case with Benitez.

It's like songwriting partnership's innit? All the greats were never that great again once they lost their sidekick.

Lets face it, if this was just him having some personal shit to deal with, they'd not say he's definitely gone for the rest of the season. It would be that we hope to have him back as soon as he's ready. He's gone, and he and Klopp are a pair of dickheads for letting this flare up at such an important phase.

On a side note, we didn’t officially replace Pepijn Lijnders, did we?

Looks ‘understaffed’ in terms of coaching team now.

Liverpool assistant Zeljko Buvac stands down for rest of season

Liverpool have suffered serious disruption ahead of their Champions League semi-final with Roma on Wednesday after Jurgen Klopp’s right-hand man, Zeljko Buvac, stepped aside for personal reasons.
Buvac, the assistant manager who Klopp has described as “the brain” behind his coaching set-up, is “spending some time away from the first team environment between now and the end of the season” according to Liverpool, who have declined to comment further on what they regard as a private matter.
Liverpool’s players were informed of Buvac’s departure at training on Sunday – just three days before their game at Stadio Olimpico. Though a temporary measure at present, the Bosnian Serb may leave Anfield permanently in the summer.
Buvac met Klopp when they were players at Mainz, where they had a gentleman’s agreement that whoever went into management first would take the other as their assistant. That agreement has held for 17 years – at Mainz, Borussia Dortmund and Liverpool – and though first team coach Peter Krawietz is also a key part of Klopp’s backroom team it is Buvac who carries greatest influence.
Recently, however, the 56-year-old has cut a distant figure at Melwood and during first team matches. It is this behaviour that led to the coach stepping aside following Saturday’s goalless draw against Stoke City, rather than any specific argument with Klopp, but the timing of his exit represents a significant setback to Liverpool’s preparations for Roma.
The Liverpool manager may hope a temporary break will benefit Buvac and allow him to return recharged for next season, although he now faces the task of guiding the Anfield club towards the Champions League final and a top four finish in the Premier League without the man who has been at his side for the past 17 years.

Recharging ? Now ? Utter bollocks. If there has been no death, or serious health issues, in his family then he's gone. Nobody would just walk out at this stage of the season to 'recharge', nobody.

Yup.
No one leaves on the eve of the UCL semi final unless you've had a falling out and you want to hurt your boss.

Could he be having mental health issues? Outside of an argument or falling out, thats the only thing I can think of that could cause him to become distant, and to need an immediate break from the team. Whatever it is I hope that he's alright and makes a full return to the team next season.

You can bet your bottom dollar that whatever the reason and the spark that's ignited his departure, it'll be attributable to mental illness, like everything is these days.
