Burnley only made one change

Be interesting to see the energy levels

We will certainly be the fresher of the two

This has dropped points written all over it.

The question is, how many..

OK, amma get positive. Like all HIV on this shit.

Lallana back is good. TAA has been ace getting forward. Mane will be in his preferred spot. Ox has got a chance to show he deserves to be here.

Just Salah, Coutinho and Firmino have been our three best players without a doubt all season.

Mignolet captain !?!? Fuck off !

Ming what were you doing whispering behind your hands when their first goal went in .... I was shouting at Solanke to come back and help out.

Mane and Solanke up top.

With OX and TAA wing backs

Lallana top of the midfield behind the two strikers

I suspect you will also see Mane drift out wide to allow TAA to cut inside from time to time

Can and Wijnaldum will act as the defensive midfielders and protect our defence to allow TAA and the OX to push forward

There's enough quality in the starting XI to win the game.

But Burnley are appealing at 5/1
.

In case you lot are unaware, Mane & Salah are flying to Ghana (I believe almost straight after this match) to pick up African player awards & won't be back until the day before the Everton Cup game so are very very unlikely to feature, at least from the start.

Whilst it pisses me off, apparently both players were very keen on going & long term keeping them happy may be worth the short term negative.

Btw. Re the captaincy thing. Klopp is.on record as saying he just chooses by highest number of caps. Doesn't think it matters much otherwise.

We'll probably hire a plane again .... 6.5 hrts flight time to Accra. Mid-haul nothing excessive. They'll be fine to play against Everton (or Mane will since Salah looks to be out for a couple of weeks).

We'll win this, even with that team.

Burnley aren't a top four team, and their top four form is due to end.

4-1 to us, Solanke to score first.

This game does have dropped points all over it, but I won't be as pissed (at Klopp or the players) as other games, the schedule is a complete joke, 48 hours break, we either play our strongest squad and risk massive fatigue and injuries, or we rotate our squad and field a weaker team. We've gone for the latter, Burnley for the former, I hope the high energy levels with good players against potentially more tired players is enough today, but I won't blame Klopp if we drop points because exactly what is he supposed to do in this situation? It's lose lose, it's simply shit scheduling by the premier league, there should always be at least three days between games.

You seriously see klopp starting a player who hasn't trained all week? Highly doubt it.

I like this selection. Its actually right against a team like Burnley and something the opposition would not expect or prepare for.
