Besides, surely every footballer at the club would be wanting to play every league match and every Champion's league match?

Or is it wrong of us now to ask them to play all these matches?

Nah, it's on them as well if they can't beat Brighton at home after a week's rest.

If we were to finish 5th in the league, you can't really say they've produced consistently. Simple as that.

I don't agree with that at all. The goalscorers have done their job more or less all season, we had the benefit at one point of rotating Mane, Salah, Firmino and Coutinho around the three positions and it kept whichever one was struggling a bit, fit. We didn't have the benefit of that after January and it's showed when we've had to rely on the likes of Solanke and a half fit Danny Ings.

If anything, the preferred three have done their job but once again we haven't been able to: a) see out games and rely on our defense on the few occasions we're not banging them in. And b) bring other players in when needs be, who are even half as effective as the preferred front three.

Those two issues are on Klopp and the club. The front three have carried us through a lot of games in a short space of time which has had us both going far in Europe and in the mix for the CL places.

It's not quality or consistency letting us down now, it's fatigue and a lack of depth. It's nonsense to say that's on the players. If we had had that extra quality attacker, which we lost with Coutinho (and not to mention we'd also lost a bit more depth in Origi and Sturridge), then it might have pushed us the extra yard.

How's it the best season in 25 years? If we win the CL then it's the best season since the last time we won it in 2005, not to degrade it, but I don't see how it's hugely different, the history books will say the same thing for both seasons.

People seem to be incapable of separating the issue over selling Coutinho and not panic buying a replacement, maybe we just shouldn't have sold him without reinforcements being made. It was a gamble and if we get through the next two games, it's just paid off. We should never have been on the knife edge in the first place. The front three is one of the best around, but the depth beyond that is a massive drop off in quality. And now a couple of them have dropped out of form, there's nothing reliable in reserve.

If we fuck up the Brighton game or fail to turn up in the final, it's a travesty that we've undone all our great hardwork and relative brilliance, by gambling on losing two attackers and not replacing at least one of them.

If we win both games left we will be top 4 and win the CL. It is hard to argue that it aint the best of Seasons in 25 years. Of course 2005 was enormous and 2001 was huge. But this would be even steven or even better. We should not this and we should not that.... Probably we should have won everything and People would still be moaning that we were Close to not win everything.

And relax mate. People will can drop out of form but not out of class. They will be there when called upon. But as some of us said before the Stoke game was that we should give those legs a rest to Ensure they were ready for rest of season. We have utilized Our guys to the very edge, but we are at the very edge. And then People are still moaning that this is not enough, cause we might tip over the edge..... well fuck that. If we tip we tip. That's football. No guarantees, no casualties, no moaning pussies along the road. Get a grip man and enjoy it.

We are in the position of needing to beat Brighton not just because of fatigue but because the players were playing within themselves and saving themselves in the league games. If we had a Coutinho replacement, it wouldn't have solved this problem because it's likely he would have done the same.

I get why they would save themselves like they did, but if there's any fallout from that, they need to take some responsibility too.

I think you are all forgetting our special agent Benitez and operation Newcastle draw.

I fancy them to get a point off Chelsea

Really have not got a clue which Liverpool will turn up for this game, and quite frankly my view is that we should be on 76 points by winning the games against WBH, and Stoke. We have made this really fucked up - and right now don't even look like scoring at the moment. Should have just played for the draw yesterday but no .. Klopp just cannot resist. I know most on here think that Brighton will be there for the taking bug for me it depends entirely on how their game goes against City.

If they play city and get hammered then they will turn up to Anfield with very hard drilled defense that will not want to be humiliated in two consecutive games. We already know right now how hard it will be for our team to break that down. This whole seasons outcome of success now depends on this last game - fucking joke if you ask me and at the same time we now know that even with a win our points total will be one less than last season. The league table really does not lie about the overall state of a team - regardless of our achievements in the CL thus far.

Yes. I've never seen him have a good game, even when we're not involved.

Rafa can do us a favour with either of Newcastle's last two games. Won't happen like, but we live in hope.
If we have to win against Brighton I expect us to. No way will these players want to risk missing out on the CL experience next year. It could be very tight and edgy but I think we'll do it.

The last time we had a week long rest without a midweek match to plan for we won 5-0 against Watford. I’m hoping for the same on Sunday.

Much easier now.

It's one thing to be frustrated and draw but to lose would be madness

We have been gambling on CL qualifications with a squad low on numbers two seasons in a row now. Last season we knew Mane going to AFCON was going to hurt our season. Klopp even said in November of 2016 that he is looking to buy a winger. We didn't and had a horrible January and made it to CL qualification in the last game. We made the same gamble this season by not signing VVD till January and selling Coutinho without replacement. I am with you on that this is an unnecessary gamble especially as we have money in the bank.

However, Klopp has a clear idea of whom he wants and is willing to wait for them and take the risk. The positive side is that our buys appear to be spot on for the most case. I think this is something we have to learn to live with.

Weirdly I'm not too bothered about the result.

I think it'll be more important that we see a great performance. If our forwards can get a goal or 2 and our defence keeps a clean sheet, Anfield will be bouncing and it'll be a confidence booster for the final.
