3-0

Brighton play City midweek, have secured PL status for next season and will be in holiday mode.
Score first and the game will settle nicely for us.
A week rest will do our squad the World of good. We should be all over them on Sunday.

It’s more worrying that klopp has no answer. His (poor) in game management becomes more stark

If we don't have Champions league football for next season, this season will have been a waste and momentum will have been lost.
I hope we can up our game for Brighton.

Exactly

Of course, there's the argument no decent European competition next year should give us the chance to go all out for the league like Chelsea did last year.

We'd still be in the Europa League and with it the Thursday night matches unless we fucked it off completely and played the kids until we got knocked out

We have no options on the bench, tired and mentally fatigued players and loads of injuries. It was quite obvious that we'd lack that extra spark yesterday.
I think we did enough to deserve a draw yesterday though.

If the game was played for another 90 minutes we still wouldn’t have scored. Mix up the team with more young players like woodburn who have a ponit to prove. Dom has been pretty useless in every game.

At least we have a week for the players to rest. That's one positive. They really need to clear their heads now and remind themselves of the good habits that have seemed to have been forgotten during the tension and fatigue of the past few weeks. I'm convinced the main work that needs doing at Melwood is mental, and Klopp's very good at that. If Lallana can at least be on the bench, then that's another positive, another option. I really hope we win, with Klopp over-dramatically checking his watch as he sprints over to shake the needy hand of that over-praised 'nicest man in football,' the vertical slim panatella.

Yeah, as Rurik said the difference in quality between the front 3 and Dom and Ings have been very noticeable. To much obviously.

Our results improve the longer the rest we have between games. Every stat since klopp arrived proves this over the long term.

As such I'm really not worried about Brighton.

I will be come Sunday, obv, cos we're Liverpool, but not massively so.

I'm actually a little worried that Huddersfield might just get a point againat Chelsea. I'd actually prefer us needing a win than just a draw cos when a team needs a draw it almost always seems to lead to half arsed almost negative football even when you're the better side.

I think the players got into that understandable but really problematic mind-set of thinking, 'Okay, I've got this league game, I can't go full-out because of the big midweek game, but I need to do just enough and not get injured,' which left them doing nothing quite well enough and still being fatigued for the semi finals. Not wishing to sound all Steve Peters, but they now need to shake themselves out of that way of thinking and start looking ahead at two finals, each one of which they should feel fairly rested to attack. With Brighton, I think a real blitz for the first thirty minutes could win the game, as they're less likely to fight back in an end of season game now that they're safe.

Wagner owes Klopp a favour. 3 points at Stamford Bridge will be a good start.
Dodgy penalty and defending like crazy for 90 mins

If the Hudders can't win, then they should at least crock a few of Chelski's best players, that would be almost as helpful as drawing with them.

It's best to answer this after the midweek results are in.

Or after the Brighton result. If we're going in for half-hearted predictions, let's go the whole hog!

...Erm...summat might happen...erm...it's probably best if you come back after a bit more's happened, then I'll have a go at predicting the next bit.

As I said in another thread, although I didn't wish for this scenario, it at least means that the match I attend has something riding on it.

3-0 Wijnaldum first goal

Huddersfield are still fighting for survival. Im hoping they fuck Chelsea and we can afford to not risk injuries and whatever
Klopp won't want his first team 'resting' for 3 weeks - without a shadow of a doubt he'll play our strongest team.

13 days rest after the game vs Brighton. It will be our strongest possible line up. 13 days rest is also nearly to much.
