We should flood the midfield and work the rest out from the full backs and two attackers.

Alisson

Trent Matip Konate Robbo
Bajcetic Fabs Thiago Keita
Salah Gakpo

If Carvalho doesn't start if Nunez is injured...something is going on behind the scenes..

Just change the formation and get the lad a game.

I reckon he’s in some sort of strength & conditioning programme and being withheld from match fitness in the short term

To be honest ... I'd rather go with this than the 4-3-3 we'll see, which will leave our midfield hammered - as usual - in a desperate attempt to maintain a formation we don't have the necessary personnel to play anymore, even when the squad is fully fit.

Best option I've seen so far. Still hoping against hope Nunez is fit however - otherwise I can see us getting battered.

It'll be something like::

---------------Allison-----------------
TAA--Matip--Konate-Robbo
-----Keita---Fabs---Thiago---
--Elliott----Salah---Gapko---

Maybe Ox in there for Elliott and a reshuffle upfront.

I too would like to see Doak given a chance, Harvey has had many and not really taken them.

& Isn't Bajcetic injured?

However, with Bajcetic not named in the matchday squad for either the first team or the Under-21s over the weekend, while Doak was withdrawn at half-time against Spurs having come on for Klopp’s side against Wolves the night before, Lewtas also warned how the club will continue to manage such players, who are still only teenagers, carefully despite the hype around them.

“No, nothing long term,” he said when asked if Bajcetic was injured, seemingly suggesting there was an issue of sorts. “It was a little bit of a decision. With these younger lads, we have to be really careful, just around how many games they play.

From Klopps presser:

Bajectic back in training today
Darwin, nothing major, missed training a few days and awaiting final info. Could make the game
Firmino, out
Milner, back in contention

At least Milner's back.

A presser very much worth waiting for.

Now when the fuck are we signing some midfielders.

We’re winning this one with both teams to score.

I think we'll start the game with high intensity, create a couple chances that we fail to capitalize on. Brighton will cut through our high line a couple times creating some high quality chances. Then as we tire and run out of ideas, Brighton see more of the ball and create more chances.

We will lose 3-1.

Brighton a stern test for ailing Liverpool

Roberto De Zerbi’s first match in charge of Brighton was a hugely entertaining contest with Liverpool and the Italian now welcomes Jürgen Klopp and his team to the Amex Stadium. The corresponding fixture ended in a 3-3 draw and such has been Brighton’s progress under their Italian manager it would come as no great shock if they were to go one better. Brighton go into the game on the back of impressive demolition jobs over Middlesbrough and Everton, while Liverpool have failed to win their past two games. An error-strewn first-half performance cost them all three points at Brentfordand Klopp will be eager to avoid a repeat performance – it was his team’s sluggishness out of the traps that allowed Brighton to race into a two-goal lead at Anfield. In what promises to be a stern test of both team’s mid-season mettle, victory for the Seagulls would take them to within a point of their visitors and cast further doubt over Liverpool’s top-four credentials.
