Bridge makes himself unavailabe

SG, I had a similar thought about Capello.
However now Bridge has done what he has done its a bit late.
If he drops Terry now its as if the players are picking the squad for him.

Harsh to say but if it was either-or then I'm sure he'd rather have Terry there anyway so he's probably pleased in some ways that Bridge has done this. If he'd been put in a 'its him or me' position it would've been something of a no-win situation!

I think Bridge is daft not to go. If I were him I'd be right over there, scuttling up any babe I could. Like a rat up a drainpipe.

Terry's 'friends' have now been telling the media that 'Bridge was always a bottler'.

Classy.

Terry has plenty of friends in the London media who are ready to print this shite too.

Capello would be fired if he dropped Terry and England lost earlier in the tournament than expected (ie. the exact same time they always lose) and it was due to a thin defense.

Terry should have at least stepped down from the captaincy of his own volition but we've already established that he is a cunt, so no surprises.

Hope Bridge shakes his hand then clatters the fuck out of him.

As an Englishman, the prospect of Terry leading us out at the WC makes me hope we don't get out of the group stage. The thought of that arsehole lifting the trophy is enough to make me puke.

But Terry has been sacked so he won't be leading anyone out. And seeing as the Duck-Faced manc is injured and well out of form, I'd have money on Gerrard, leading out the side in the WC.

think about it, can you imagine the tabloid coverage if bridge went, and then there would be the inevitable stories about problems in the dressing room if the results didn't go the right way... the story would be about bridge and terry and not the england team. It'd be a HUUUGE distraction. Definitely did the right thing for england by not going..

Quite admirable in this day and age really...

Bridge has gone up in my estimation. Could you imagine the vibe in the dressing room, with those two? Jaysus. If someone "enjoyed" your bird and he was your best mate? Are you kidding me?
