Boxing please

First Haye ducks Wlad (2009).

Now Wlad ducks Haye (2011).

Mayweather and Pacquaio ducking each other. When will the best fight the best?

Boxing is a joke right now.

I went to his wedding (my lady at the time knew his bride-to-be).

Her family was minted.

Wicked bash.

Boxing is generally crap. All the good fighters are ducking one another.

About the only decent fights out there:
Mayweather vs. Pacquiao/Martinez
Khan vs. Bradley

So Wladimir in June/July, then Vitali in October I guess?

It doesn't leave much time if he wants to stick to his 'plan'. And what if he loses?

If Haye loses he'll probably retire.

Then make a comeback 18 months later.

But don't call it a comeback !

He'll be aiming to beat Vlad in June then do the same to his brother in October & retire.

Good luck to him. Doubt he'll do it though. More likely he'll be beaten, then go on to fight Vitali for another big payday, beat the slower more ponderous brother & attempt to beat Vlad again for an even bigger payday when Vlad is a year older & presumably slower.

Can we not have a handicap match - Haye v The Klitschko's ?

Vince McMahon would have made the match years ago

I can't stand them . Such a pity a decent fighter hasn't come along and shut the 3 of them up.

In other news my man El Canelo beat Hatton jnr the other day, was just too big and strong for Hatton and bossed the fight . I first saw Alvarez fight Jose Miguel Cotto on an undercard last summer and I was convinced he was Irish with Mexican being the last i would have guessed. He's obviously heard that a few times as apparently he said he'd like to fight in Dublin in future .

Anyway I really like him , he's only 20 but already had 36 fights with 35 wins and a draw . I hope he goes right to the top. Plus his bird is pretty mint .

Vlad won't be on these forums for a while then. 😉

Hatton never should have been in that fight. Setting a catchweight is nonsense to begin with in a belt fight, and is only compounded when the heavier man makes no real attempt to meet it. Alvarez knew getting the title was more important than his fine.

Aye. Mismatched maulings are funny. Although Gatti sometimes took the overnight pizza binging too far, sending tiny people opponents out on stretchers.

Haha , was just watching James DeGale and George Groves on Ringside laying into each other verbally .The shite these lads talk is hilarious and childish but i guess that is part and parcel of boxing. Both accusing the other of being delusional, a loser etc and DeGale coming out with classics like "get out of my face your breath smells " ....he stopped short of a "yer mamma " , god he's a pleb .

Anyway I really like that "Ringside " show , they get some big names on and don't hold back , there's none of the pc crap that you get with Sky's other sports coverage , they just say it as it is .

DeGale is embarrassing when he opens his cakehole. I know boxers in general don't tend to have been first in the queue for the brains, but he really is a prize specimen.

I can quite safely say that the Klitschko -Solis fight will be remember till the end of time by those who witness its glory. I will never watch another boxing match as the only way is down.

Ha ha. Travesty. Although, bear witness to future conspiracy theories when Wladimir pulls out of the Haye fight to let Vitali in.

I still can't decide whether I thought that was hilarious of just plain embarrassing.

I've always liked DeGale since the olympics, but there is a danger that he could talk me out of supporting him with this one.

It's at the O2, so I might try to go to it. Really looking forward to it.

So did he fuck his knee up or was he just a shit bag?
[/quote]

His leg wobbled and then he took another hit, maybe the pressure on a unsteady leg caused it. But I really don't think he was faking it or whatever.
