I really enjoyed that.
It’s a performance that’ll likely be forgotten about in 2 weeks time, or less frankly. But the first half especially was terrific. We’re a way way better side when we move it at pace, and move it in two touches. Zip zip, fucking move it on. That turgid bullshit from West Brom during the week must have been the motivation for this set-up. There was the usual snapping at heels, charging in to win it back, and pressuring from the front foot relentlessly, but this time it was followed by the same intensity when in possession.
Sometimes I watch us hare around to win it back only to fucking slow it all down when w get it. As if winning the ball back is our reward so we’ll slow the shit down while we get our breath back. Everything today was incisive, quick, ambitious, and at pace. Salah on the move everytime we won it. Coutinho operating in patches, inside of having an over-indulgent patchy game, and fucking Oxlade-Chamberlain getting it and moving it. Don’t be fooled by him – he does the simple things well all the time. Never loses it, always gives it to those in better position, and works his absolute arse off. He’d fit in any good Liverpool side from the last 20 years.
Those two up-front Firmino and Salah are ridiculous. The latter’s got the hump until he scores every week. Moping around cos he hasn’t made one of his 3 or 4 chances (which he created himself by the way through brilliant inter-play, constant menace, and just outrageous skill) until one hits the net. How thrilling to have a player so obsessed about scoring? Revelation that lad. And Firmino – every teammate’s favourite teammate. Already scored more this season than the whole of last season. In his last 6 starts, he has 6 goals and 3 assists. A stat that’s only relevant if you don’t actually watch him play.
All over the pitch we were sharp. I know the first 45 away to Sevilla was mental, but it almost felt surreal, same against that shower in Macedonia or wherever the fuck it was. Today’s 45 was the most enjoyable I’ve seen this season. Christ I’d love to watch a Liverpool side play like that more often.

I actually really like them both at left back, but Moreno still has a moment of madness in him that I've yet to see some Robertson, so he just about gets the nod for now.
I wrote something about this in the MOM thread. The thing about Klavan, because he was such an unknown quantity and didn't cost much, we all assumed that his inconsistency last year was an indication of his real level rather than just adjusting to the new league/team. I'm starting to doubt that conclusion – because since he's came into the side after Spurs, his consistency level has been actually higher than anything Lovren or possibly even Matip showed in Liverpool colours to date. Arsenal will be a big test; he was poor in the corresponding fixture last year – if he holds his own at the Emirates we might have gotten ourselves a defender.
I prefer Robertson to Moreno too, not based on current performance (which is about even or Moreno just edging it), but I just like the look of Robertson's game more. Doesn't always run in a straight line, more unpredictable in attack and calmer in defense. I recon in a year or two Klopp will gradually mold him into a top full-back.

Reason he seems to be improving whenever he's had a run of a few games, & going forwards he does seem to be able to create space for other players by using that pace to drag the defence away from our forwards.
Robertson on the other hand, is also improving his game almost every time he plays, so I don't have a huge preference either way.

I was actually referring to the Journo's that only look for controverial angels to their questions. Last time Coutinho was interviewed it was the fucking same gash. Talk about the game, the team and the achievements coming. Still pouring into the same dull shit makes the interview uninteresting and keep the players shy of media for the future.

There were at least twice we raided up a counter down the left and Robertson popped up as an alternative to finish the attack on the right side.
Credit to the guy He has been Sharp and seem to have plenty of freshness to bomb Down the left. Based on this season Moreno has been equally or sharper, so I agree on there is no justification for preferring one to the other. But it feels good to have such quick and good alternatives for a long season. Last season Milners leg's were gone at the end of season but there was no real alternative as too much were at stake.

For me it's his consistency. His solidity. Works his arse off and rarely makes any mistakes of note. Plus some ace crosses.
Plus I'll add he times his tackles far better, no completely inane attempts in or just around the box.

Well, with you normally being right 1 in every 100 times there is a slight chance, however extremelly slim, that you are right again....
Achievements coming with another 4 games rolling on during the next 1-2 weeks I feel it is 100% more interesting to listen to players thought about those games rather than talking about Barcelona..... Ox says the right thing and you as normal the wrong.
The post match analysis showed just how clever Robbo's run was in the box for Coutinho's goal, drawing away a defender who otherwise would have smothered him. I have liked the look of him in every game, and I don't think Moreno will be able to displace him when he returns from injury.
I've written to Opta Joe to tell them that some of those goals don't count cos Firmino scored them.
Interesting enough that stat would still stand if you ruled out the Firmino goals as well as that ghost penalty agains't in the Brighton game. Let's make it five in a row on Friday!!

What was amusing there was after Allie OC finished, the interviewer he had just had a go at, responded with "Well said" - its cut off in that video, however
I dismissed him in seconds.
Not a very fashionable opinion, but agreed. He looks really accomplished and solid compared to a few weeks ago.
Wouldn't be surprised if he's being allowed to sort out a loan or move these past couple of weeks.
