Post Match Bournemouth (A) 0-2 Saturday 1st Feb

If we play a cup final this season Bradley has to start. Cause we're getting punished with this version of Trent playing.
Remember that Bradley was the one playing against Real earlier this season.

TAA needs a slap.

You do all that teamtalk about starting fast and not giving the crowd anything.

And first 10 seconds, the boy is sleeping.

And he wants to be captain!?! Fuck no. We'll be fcuked if that's the example he's setting.

It was another Man U like performance by him.
Not that I'm wishing injury on him but him being forced to go off might have just helped us secure the three points and a clean sheet.

I said I’d love a controlled 2-0 win and even though they had their chances and hit the woodwork twice that’s our best display of the season for me.

Sensational effort, concentration and play.

Salah, what can you say? Don’t you just hate when he stat pads 😀

Insane too it must be said that they have 18 players out injured and many of their first 11 are only playing because of that. Talk about grabbing your chance.

Their CB’s had a combined age of 42!

Big win. Performance was average but who cares, it's not like we've played like Brazil of the 70s this season has it? 90% of our football is boring, slow and forgettable and this one is no differnet.

Rode our luck plenty of times with the post, offside goal and Ali saving our blushes. Mac should've been off right before he got subbed and I think Arne knew it. How we kept a clean sheet I'll never know.

Big result. Pretty mediocre performance, but Salah a different class on one end, and Allison too good on the other.

Thought gravy and macca had good games. Szobo and especially Trent, did not.
Sometimes I wonder what planet some of you are on.
Mediocre performance? We came up against arguably the most inform team in the league who have beaten all the top teams at home and we won 0-2.
For me that was our best performance of the season and their intensity was the reason for any perception of underperformance.

Trent aside. He can do one.

We can't afford to play poorly like today vs Everton because the refs at Goodison Park will give them absolutely everything in the name of it being "a derby" and the "last game ever at Goodison".

We've played poorly like today all season, we're doing fine.

Everton are absolutely fucking shite, it's just another game of football.

How was that even close to the best display of the season @Dreambeliever We were quite lucky to get a result. Our decision making in the attacking third was poor. Our defense was sub par. If I wanted to beat Liverpool, this game would have plenty of tape to study.
The quality of the opposition who have scored in 15/16 before today. They have beaten all the other top teams at home and run all day.

We were brilliant imo. Sure players made mistakes, lost the ball and fell over (Dom) but overall in a huge game we were superb.
Trent was the only really poor player.

Doesn't fucking matter who the opposition are. Still far too many average performers on that pitch. Szobo Trent Robbo Mac and to a lesser extent Gakpo and Diaz.

We've beaten the champions of Europe and champions of England 2-0 too. We've smashed the German champions who went the season unbeaten. We've smashed West Ham away when they never even had a shot on goal.

Best performance my nut sack.

I'm thought they were very impressive. I thought it was a tremendous result.

We are talking about the performance.

What was the xG for that, I wonder?

HRM, 1-3, more or less.

Well, like, what the fuck do I know?

Also there was a moment in the game when Bradley chased the Bournemouth player down the line to force a goalkick, and VDV, Konate and Allison all fistbumped him and said well done.

It was almost as if they were breathing a hugh sigh of relief that finally they had a RB who would defend with them as a back 5 and not disappear into midfield or audition for another Hollywood role. Konate esp. was probably the happiest, knowing he didnt have to cover the right as much anymore.

Ye guys are fucking impossible to please.
Ha.

Allison - sublime - not only in the reflex saves but off his line like a boss.

Robertson - brilliant defensively today when everyone was worried about him.

Virgil - incredible defensively again

Konate - won so many duals, keep him fit and we win the league

Trent - get fucked

Gravy - another brilliant display, he’s so good on the half turn in tight spaces.

Macca - also brilliant and was everywhere. So strong on the ball under pressure.

Dom - fell over a lot and couldn’t sort his feet but fuck me does he run all day and press so incredibly intelligently. You can see why Slot always picks him.

Salah - scored a brilliant pen, a worldie goal, tracked back, won a heap of frees, always available to recieve the ball, beat his man and even let Slot sub him off. Sensational. The difference maker yet again!

Gakpo - won the peno (it definitely was one btw) was strong on the ball and worked very hard without getting the space he had enjoyed in recent weeks to get a goal.

Diaz - anyone criticising him in this system doesn’t understand it. He’s doing exactly what is asked of him, ran eveeywhere, linked up well, would have had a goal had Gravy played him in and unlucky with the header. Strong on the ball with his back to goal under pressure. Great display.

Jones - superb cameo, I was worried we might lose control of midfield with Macca off but Curtis was everywhere. Brilliant for the goal, won the ball back and ran his socks off.

Nunez - superb 20 mins. He doesn’t just work hard, he’s strong and powerful so his workfare is impactful. He throws himself about and his weighted pass to release Diaz for the goal should not be understated. Brilliant stuff.

Bradley - also sensational, got forward but was immense defensively coming in cold to high paced game against a team full of players who run until the very last minute. They score so many late goals and Bradley snuffed out so many dangerous attacks.

Endo - had 8 mins and still managed to throw himself about. I fucking love him.

Slot - He’s levels above the rest. Outstanding set up, selection, subs and control today against a very tricky side.

Wow. We played decent but blessed. They hit the post three times, disallowed goal barely and Ali to the rescue many times. Great result but we will have to play much better moving forward.

Again terrific win on the road.

I think probably more like middle ground. A thoroughly professional performance and very much in keeping with Slotball. Control as much as we can and let the moments of brilliance from our superior players be the difference.

The stats are pretty accurate representative of the match. In truth we were worth the win but 1-2 would have been a fairer scoreline.

Possession we shaded. Shots : Liverpool 19 (7) to Bournemouth 14 (3).
