Didnt he score that wondergoal in pre season when he cut inside and hit it with his left? He's not a one trick pony or easy to defend against at all.
That versatility is whats going to make him a very good player.
Ibe is a one trick pony who tries to beat his man on the outside and charge the byline every time. You take away the outside and force him back inside and he is reduced to nothing. Very easy player to defend.
I should have worded it differently in that he is too easy to defend right now by often times trying the same thing. Other times he has varied his play much more but this season he seems dead set on beating his man and getting to the byline. Whether that is his instructions from Rodgers or his decision it has been frustrating to watch. I actually thought he did a better job the other night.

That's more like it. That I can understand. Though strangely against Bordeaux I was willing him to take on the FB (who played well all game) on the outside .. but he rarely did. I know he could skin him but often he had no room to work with and was doubled up on.
