Great finish from Benteke and a nice penno by Milner. Mignolet is not good enough, see also Hapless Joe Allen. Firmino also having a shocker.

But winning is winning. Let's batter these

Half time ratings:

Mignolet 2.5

Clyne 8 - Bombing forward and assisted Benteke's goal. Hasn't put a foot wrong.
Lovren 6 - Done OK, but looks so uncertain.
Touré 7 - Our rock in defence so far. Nice little solo move there.
Moreno 7 - Good performance.

Lucas 7 - Spreading the ball around, doing a nice impression of Alonso. Our organiser in midfield.
Allen 6 - Running a lot but not really doing much.
Milner 6 - Nice pen. But needs to raise his game, needs to improve his passing.
Ibe 7 - Getting forward a lot but looks a bit lost on the left flank, needs to play on the right.

Firmino 5 - Nothing is working for him at all. Holding on to the ball for too long, missing easy passes.
Benteke 7 - Great goal and nice dive there for the pen but could do better.

Top 3 so far:
Clyne
Lucas
Benteke

Suicide watch for Mignolet tonight.
Lad has zero confidence, this will be the final straw.

The the thing that bothered me about the Ming incident was the Goal and how it was conceded... not so much the monumental fuck up of holding the ball for 22 seconds

His shitness summed up.. initially diving towards where the wall was covering

The Free Kick Taker was always was going to aim for the top left corner, and well the wall did its job

Replaced in January... no doubt about it...

Mignolet is one of those players that would do pretty well at West Ham....enough so, that occasionally we'll look at him and consider whether we were right to sell him on. Then we'll remember this kind of shite and be glad we got rid.

A David James (talented but full of fuck ups and fatally flawed) rather than a Brad Friedel (early fuck ups, but mentally strong and a late developer) if you will

A keeper in January? Unless it's an unknown super talent in an unknown team or from a league that hasn't started in yet like the Russian, US, Brazilian league no one is going to let go of their first choice keeper mid season.

Talks of it rumbling about the place already, aren't we linked with a German Keeper.. ?

Of course we are, we have a German manager. I'd absolutely love to have Timo Horn or Bernt Leno, but I don't think it'll happen in Jan
