The game tomorrow should be Roy's final curtain - if he fails to get the three points that is. Kenny for caretaker until a new manager can be introduced come Summer then.

I don't think individual results matter any more. Roy is gone no matter what. It's just a matter of when. The ideal is to get a long term boss in now, but if none can be found soon then Kenny will be brought in. I believe the only reason that Roy is still in a job now is because the owners want to find the long term solution rather than bringing in Kenny.

I think you're probably right. Unfortunately, if that is the case I don't think they are, because I don't agree that the ideal WOULD be to bring in a long-term boss now. They should take their time to make damn sure they get it right. Meanwhile, each day they waste trying to finesse the situation by making a quick permanent appointment increases the risk (a) of Roy compounding the damage he's already done and (b) of t he club restricting itself to a needlessly limited pool of candidates.

Well I think they are taking their time in doing it. While I agree that every day with Roy is to our detriment, if they believe they can get their man in a week or two, I'd prefer to wait for that. If not then obviously we need to go for Kenny or someone like him.
People may point to the owners time in the states where they got rid of a manager straight away, but that was in a sport they already knew. They're on a huge learning curve here, and an initial big mistake could set them up for a difficult time. The one thing they won't want to do is replace Roy with another incapable manager.
I think the owners problem is that they've had to learn very quickly in a very difficult situation, it's understandable they don't want to rush into this. They have, or at least had, no knowledge of the game, and their main advisor in the game would presumably be Kenny. Who's to advise them to take Kenny? Kenny himself?
Do they have other football advisors besides who they have at the club? I assume they do, but would they advise taking Kenny on? I would doubt it. From an outside point of view it wouldn't be the most advisable course of action. Of course, most followers of the club would look beyond his years out of management and failed tenures, myself included. But our problem is that our owners and whatever advisors they have most likely will not do that.
If it takes a few weeks for them to get the right man, or even it takes until the summer, and they get the decision right then we can't complain. Buy the way I'm fairly confident that the chances of us being relegated are quite slim whether Roy stays or not. I think, should he stay, Roy will have a better second half to the season, but obviously not enough to keep him in the job.
