No one knows if that's the team yet, though I wouldn't be surprised, but we're playing United at the weekend as well, so changes were inevitable. If he went to Old Trafford on Sunday and made the same changes he'd still get crucified, probably even more so. The players he's left with, the likes of Lucas, Soto and N'Gog are all Rafa signings. The only 'cunt' he's bringing in of his own is Konchesky, and it's hardly his fault that his best signing is injured.

If you think the league is priority then I'd probably agree, but no one can say that the same level of vitriol wouldn't be aimed at him if he had to make similar changes against United, because it would. He's shite, but so is the squad and that's not all his doing.

the league should be the number one priority, especially when our current manager is so fucking hapless we may get sucked into a relegation battle.

The game tomorrow should be Roy's final curtain - if he fails to get the three points that is. Kenny for caretaker until a new manager can be introduced come Summer then.

If he drops Agger and Aurelio simply because he want us to match Blackburn's strengths he's not doing himself any favors.

I'm not arguing the toss Neil, but if he made those changes against United he'd face an even worse reaction.

not from me. no one seriously think this hapless old duffer with the simply disgraceful away record is going to old trafford to turn manu over in their own back yard? play the best players available for the league at least with most of b'burn injuried he has a chance.

Agger has just returned from injury, so throwing him into playing 2 games a week was never going to happen, given his record. Besides, he should probably keep his gob shut in the press.

I want him to play the best available for this very winnable away, if he wants to rest players after that he can go buck wild.

The 3 points on offer against Blackburn are more important than the pride against the Scum.

Roy's comments when we were drawn against the Scum in the FA Cup all but conceded defeat.

Both are important but there's no question the league has to be top priority.
[/quote]

you just know roy has given up on the old trafford game already.

...which might just mean the players go out there and really turn it on to annoy the old bugger.

It will be Utopia. Imagine what a mighty turnaround it would be if Roy wins another away game for the season?

what a cunt for saying that, 'going to goodison and colleting 3 points would be utopia' fucking twat. at least he has succeeding in lowing expectations like he set out to, I went from hoping for a top 4 finish to hoping we don't get relegated.

You're all overlooking the distinct possibility that he doesn't have a correct understanding of the word 'utopia'.

I don't think individual results matter any more. Roy is gone no matter what. It's just a matter of when. The ideal is to get a long term boss in now, but if none can be found soon then Kenny will be brought in. I believe the only reason that Roy is still in a job now is because the owners want to find the long term solution rather than bringing in Kenny.

I used to be optimisstic going into every game, but Roy's disasterous reign has beaten the optimism firmly out of me. Certain defeat.

I think you're probably right. Unfortunately, if that is the case I don't think they are, because I don't agree that the ideal WOULD be to bring in a long-term boss now. They should take their time to make damn sure they get it right. Meanwhile, each day they waste trying to finesse the situation by making a quick permanent appointment increases the risk (a) of Roy compounding the damage he's already done and (b) of t he club restricting itself to a needlessly limited pool of candidates.
