Paul Joyce saying Spurs have bid £24million for him. To sell to those cunts they can pay the full fee back at least though.

I'd keep him.

If he's healthy we can always get that fee. I'd rather see if we can get goals out of him next year.

Certainly woouldnt sell him for any less than we paid, his goals to game ratio isnt too baad given his injuries and stop/start season

You may be in for a long wait. He's a much better player than many here give him credit for, but we overpaid.

24m is cheap but if we stays another year and has a similar season his price will drop a lot I think.

Hopefully he excels at the Euros.

His valuation was around the 20-25M mark even when he had those seasons marked by injury and ineffectiveness. We'll get that number if he matches this year's performance for sure.

I think you lot all saw something last season that I didnt see.

I hope managers and DOFs saw what you all saw.

I reckon wed be lucky to get 15m
We fucked it again like we did with Andy Carroll.

I'm not so sure, and it isn't a risk I'd want to take anyway. I'd sell for £24 mill.without a backward glance.

Just because we vastly overpaid for him doesn't mean any other team would be stupid enough to repeat the mistake.

Well, I'd prefer to sell him elsewhere, but I'd prefer to sell him to them than not at all, though I'd be happy to haggle over the £24 mill.

Would he really go to Spurs? He's more or less walking into the same situation, they have an established striker who's not going to get dropped for him.

Pay rise and Champions League football plus outside chance of being in the title race. Spurs will be playing 50 games next season so every chance he'll play regularly.

Pay rise? Ahahahahaha!

He earns about 140,000 a week at Liverpool, which is more than any other player at Spurs by a fucking MILE

I don't understand why we keep doing that. Surely we don't need to be doubling / tripling the wages of players coming from clubs like Southampton, Sunderland or Villa.

It's just odd.

Its just plain stupid. 120-140k or whatever he's on is to much and we'll be paying part of those wages regardless.

Arent many if any reports about this Spurs bid.
They've been linked with Michy Batshuayi and thats sadly a much better fit for them.

As sickening as it is, inflated wages is our bargaining chip though isn't it? What else have we got to offer?
And does it really matter if he goes elsewhere and plays a blinder? He isn't going to do it with us so ... let's get the dosh for him.
