Guys,

Can we PLEASE have some? If you have an opinion you're quite welcome to get it across without insulting the poster. Insults are not justified and won't be tolerated. People who engage in insults, deliberate wind-ups and trolling will get a temporary ban. Persistent offenders will get a permanent ban, no matter who you are. You know the forum posting principles please try and keep to them. We all understand the clubs in a mess and frustrations are running high but that's no justification for such behaviour. Reply to people as if you would speak to them in person - with a bit of respect. Argue all you like, disagree with each other - fine - but keep it respectful to the poster.

As Maxi Jazz would say - be good to each other, we're all we've got,.

Failing that, I've got the Scum drubbing saved somewhere, if someone can point me in the direction of a good online video hosting thingamajig that'll take 90+ mins I can whack that up.

A troll is someone who posts inflammatory, extraneous, or off-topic messages in an online community, such as an online discussion forum, chat room, or blog, with the primary intent of provoking other users into a desired emotional response or of otherwise disrupting normal on-topic discussion

Whilst I do appreciate what you are trying to do here, its not a lot of good if the mods don't do it too is it?

That If Rafa goes to Inter thread was the most needlessly aggressive we've had for a while whereas we've had bannings in other threads of late that were relatively tame by comparison

I'm in agreement with you Richey we should all be civil, mods included. As for tame bannings, the only recent one I did was for persistent insulting although I don't really feel the need to justify it. I'm trying to be open and honest and, in that spirit, I'm getting really fucked off with constant and deliberate insults, sniping and deliberate trolling. There's just no call for it.

With respect Richey, I exploded ONCE at the one person who is my kryptonite. I also explained myself and apologised to all quite shortly thereafter.

If you REALLY want me banned as a result of that, when you look at that one incident versus the resume of never-ending insults and abuse that some posters seem to endulge in (and when banned for it, we're begged to reinstate them), it's not a case you looking to have us all play by the rules - You just don't like me. Which is fine. But let's not pretend it's something else...
 
Some people just ask for it though Sunny. But I agree with the general jist, some people just insult for the sake of it.
 
I don't know know why you have got the impression that i don't like you. Its not the case. If you look back on that thread you will see that I tried to discuss your original point rather than just say how shit the thread was.

I do however think you can be rather defensive and a touch over sensitive.

My point is that if the mods are telling people that the forum will be a certain way then then they should also behave in that way. I don't want anyone banned at all, just fairness!

I mean, if i said 'I like all posters apart from one, and i will be nice to all others but reserve the right to abuse that one without apology' would that be ok?

Don't remember that, but I'll take your word for it. Was it involving the same person..?

My point was that it's a very rare occurance and it's usually in response to somebody else's continued and needless insults and abuse.

Not an excuse - I was wrong to react like that - but an explanation.
