After 5 months and fuck, it's a bit different.
Hannah's bar (my fav) has expanded, the fancy new advertising screens, the new shopping centre; It's all pretty awesome. It's not that what first hits you, though. As Vlad said the other day it's the friendliness, the way how locals see even a stranger as their best mate, no barriers, not a whiff of pretension. Ace.
Was meant to be staying with a friend, but her mothers been rushed into hospital and everyone else I know's buggered off for Christmas, so I write to you sat in the Regents Hotel on Mount Pleasant, logged into someone else's wifi. The place resembles Faulty towers/an igloo but for 30 quid a night you can't complain too much.
Off to view another house to live in now, but I think I've already found my place on Hardman street, right above the flute; ensuite, amazing view over the city, and you get the Uni libraries wifi signal for free. Happy days.
