Carra getting raped by Delfouneso.
Yep, three times. Felt bad for him.

Not seen that since Henry in that game a fair few years ago where he literally turned carra inside out. Delf is no Henry. Age isn't being kind to one of our best ever cb's.

I agree with FF, say what you want about Carroll, if nothing else, he's excellent defensively, maybe we should accept this limitations and Dion Dublin him?
I'm beginning to think that we rather should Robbie Keane him.

Good win that. Three points away from home is always good.

Villa offered nothing though, we could have had four or five (said that a few times this season) easily.

downing , downing , downing ...he's not been bad he's just not been ..well anything really . Not sure if it's a confidence thing now but he hardly trying anything bar playing it safe .
He's been getting the ball with space infront of him but he hardly runs into it or takes men on . There's just no real point to him .
I got the feeling that he was almost deliberately trying not to attack the Villa goal today. It was like a subconscious attempt to keep the score respectable, or not be responsible for us humping them. It was peculiar. If I was KK I'd haul him over the coals for that performance.

Carroll will come good.
Agreed.

Sadly I maintained this attitude with Cheyrou and Kewell as well :/

That would be the preferred route for sure

Just wanted to pop in to say that Downing is shit and I can't believe Maxi isn't playing....well maybe not...

Jordan Henderson will partner Charlie Adam in central midfield v QPR, while Maxi Rodriguez also starts. Listen live online from 2.55pm GMT.

The Reds team in full is: Reina, Johnson, Enrique, Skrtel, Agger, Adam, Henderson, Downing, Maxi, Kuyt, Suarez. Subs: Doni, Kelly, Carragher, Shelvey, Bellamy, Coates, Carroll.
bet he won't next game. Any takers?

0-2 comfortable away win yet just that tiny bit of frustration that we didn't knock a few more in .

The preferred route would be for him to score 1000 goals for us
Yeah you're right, that's far more likely than any of the above suggestions :-/

I shouldn't be surprised there's people giving Carroll stick again, but it seems a bit silly given the lad had practically no service while he was on. What do you guys want him to do?

Yeah it felt a bit like that didn't it . I don't really get it myself sometimes, surely he knows he's not playing that well or even at his best (unless sadly this is his best) so why isn't he really up for it and trying to do things . You might be off confidence but that shouldn't influence situations like when you've space infront of you to run into but you don't .

No injuries either. At this time of year that's a plus.

Am I right in thinking we've had a much better injury record this season?

You've just jinxed us

At some points in that game our passing was simply terrific. The first 20 mins of the second half was some of the best footie I've seen from any team in the PL this season.

Thought Glenjo and Enrique and Bellers were fantastic today- Suarez had that 20 minute spell where he was unplayable- Shelvey had an encouraging performance- Agger and Skrtel continue to impress as a partnership, and Adam and Henderson were assured in the middle. All in all, no complaints with that.

i don't think the stick is to do with just today's game as lets be fair the whole team were strolling at the end ...it's more just how even in a cameo he looks so out of place in our team with poor , heavy movement . His 1st touch was to knock it out of play to which he got a loud "C"mon Andy!!" , i think from bellemy . You just don't feel you're going to get anything from him .

I felt that it was a really strange substitution. Clearly we need to boost our goal difference and Villa were there for the taking today. Earlier, more attacking substitutions would have been a better alternative. We could have been sitting above Arsenal right now had that been the case.

Will he fuck. He's shite The sooner we accept that and do something positive about it, the better off we will be.

That's fair enough I suppose, though I always feel that a footballer coming on needs 5 minutes to get up to the speed of the game. The big problem lies in that we are not set up to play to his strengths. I do think it may have been slightly different if he'd been up as the actual front man more, rather than Suarez, and had a bit more time with the likes of Bellamy or a fit Gerrard behind him feeding a few balls through.

I do still think if that he can start a couple of games and get a goal or two, then momentum and confidence just might bring back the best of him.

Just how good is Big Martin these days? Looks in total control of everything. Even chipping in with a few goals.
