SCM meltdown.
We're champions. Feels great. The mentality monsters are on the beach and it's natural. They are human.

I reckon we will sign a couple of new players in the summer and rested up we will be good to go again and defend our title.

These games will mean zip when we kick off next season. It will be another 2 years at least before VVD and Ali make individual errors in the same game

If this was Jose at Chelsea, Ferguson at Utd or Pep at City and they were so far a head, and cloud not only break the points record, and the gap to second place do you think that they would have allowed "Any" player to take their foot off the accelerator..?? Fuck No!!...

As I said elsewhere, ratface, himself, said there was an inevitable drop off under Fergie once a league title was secured.

Also I am pretty sure (but cant be arsed to check) that, regardless of the next two matches, we have more points than Utd ever achieved in a season

They would have pushed onto the final whistle on the final day and set those records. If the player had real drive and pride that's what they would have aimed for. That should have been the new target till season end.

Sorry, mate... That's utter shash. Under Sir Bob, we lost 4 of 5 after the league was wrapped up once. Think a team of The King, Souness, Rushie, etc... didn't have 'real drive'? Rubbish. And you know it.

Before last night, we'd lost 2 matches in 2 years, and now the prize (actually ALL the prizes have been attained), an (inevitable) drop-off is not a sign of an immediate apocalypse.

We haven't been in consistently good form for a while, before the restart. Any tiny reduction in effort and problems become more evident, but those problems have been around for a while.

Some of the "effort" is also the age of the legs. That won't improve. I think if we don't do anything significantly, we don't finish top two next year. Still enjoying this, though. I just think we got fucked out of the fruits of our labor by the coronavirus, in many ways.

Utd use to be the Benchmark, it's City now

As I said that was when Utd was the team to beat for the title, If you think that If SAF was in charge now and Utd was in the postion we were after Lockdown he would want all the records; and would not have thought twice about using the hairdrier to make that point to his players

If you want a better case for FSG to invest in the squad, maybe losing all the remaining games isn't a bad way to send the message.

It probably would make no fucking difference. Just like if we win them.

Play the kids. It's essentially pre-season for us. They'll care enough to try hard, and injuries won't be as big of a deal if they happen. Nothing left to prove.
