Yeah the commentators I was listening too called him IB. I don't know how it's pronounced but from my time in Nigeria (don't know if the name is Nigerian) I'd say I (as in IN) Bay.

Liverpool academy star of Nigerian descent Jordan Femi Ibe has revealed how he has been under studying Cristiano Ronaldo's goals in order to try and improve his own finishing in a bid to gain first team football.
The pacey and skilled on the ball 17-year old admits that he needs to improve his finishing if he wants to catch Brendan Rodgers eye, and is hoping he can learn a few tricks from Real Madrid superstar Ronaldo by watching his goals videos.
Opportunities
Rodgers has shown that he is willing to hand opportunities to young players, but Ibe admits he was shocked when he found out he would be on the bench for the game against Southampton.
Ibe who moved to Anfield from Wycombe in December 2012 earned his first senior call-up when he made the bench for the club's away trip to Southampton in March confessed he has been studying the Portuguese star's game in the hope of picking up a few new moves.
-Going forward, Alex Inglethorpe (Liverpool reserves boss) has helped me by showing me clips of Cristiano Ronaldo.
-Twenty of Ronaldo's goals last season were one-touch finishes at the back post. He's been helping me to get within the frame of the goal and in the six-yard box.
-I haven't scored a lot of goals this season, I have plenty of assists, but with what Alex is showing me I hope I can score a few more goals towards the end of the season. Ibe said as quoted on liverpoolfc.com.
The Nigerian is considered as one of the most talented players currently coming through the Liverpool academy and there is a feeling that he will soon be emulating the likes of Suso, Raheem Sterling and Andre Wisdom, who have all featured regularly in the first team.
He is expected to be in action for the Liverpool U18 side on Friday night in the FA Youth Cup game against reigning champions Chelsea.[/article]
No idea about the source, but I think you're right. Article's quite a bit old.
