Heh, they're a pretty good list. Honestly, Gerrard's list of top 10 goals wouldn't be inferior - missing the bicycle kick but adding some others.

For a real diversity of goals wait until the end of the video and then choose the Ronaldinho clip.

It's a shame we never got to see Ibra in the Premiership. Might sound weird when you consider his achievements but playing in (a rather corrupt) Serie A all those years was a bit of a waste of his talents.

Also. I've never really been able to get excited about some of his more famous goals (like the ones on that list) - it's a lot of sticking his leg out past the defender at funny angles. Meh.

That second or third goal, the long range volley with his left foot is insane.

The best 'big' centre forward I've seen in my lifetime.

What's his pace like nowadays?

Imagine him up top as a fulcrum around which Sterling / Sturridge / Lallana / Coutinho buzz around.

Ibra is a beast. Gerrard has some decent goals, and volley's etc, but none near the technical ability of Ibra. He's capable of doing it on a consistent basis also.
Gerrard has scored more important goals though at more important times when we've been right in the shit.

Right foot left foot. Not many can score goals like that with both feet. Number 2 is mad balance for a big fella

Nah, not having that at all.

Some of Gerrard's volleys, half volleys have been technically sublime. I could name about a dozen where it would not have been possibly to strike a football any better. I'd also place him ahead of Ibra for aerial ability as well.

One point, as raised by Fox, is the right and left foot. Gerrard can hit it with his left (scored a beauty at the world cup with his left) but not as consistently well as Ibra. That is unusual and would make him very hard to defend and, on that score, would certainly place him ahead of Gerrard.

Not one would make ibras top 3...
You on crack?
Ibra the bottler wouldn't have the balls for that hit against West Ham.
Ya know.
When it matters.
Has he actually ever scored when it matters most?

So we are now talking about importance. Sorry, missed that memo. Thought it was just quality.

Doing it when it matters is one thing, as that creates long lasting memories

Doing it consistently is another thing entirely. Zlatan is definitely world class and in a similar bracket to Gerrard.

To say otherwise is just blinkered

Yeah he's class.
Just a bit of a flat track bully though.
Couldn't cut it at Barca and rarely does it against the big teams in Europe.
It would have been good to see him in the premier league though.

For Barca his record was 16 in 29. That's a decent record. His face just didn't fit, probably because of his ego.

He didn't fit in the system.

The flair and technical skill of Ibra is obviously far superior to Gerrard who was never that amazing in that department. Great right foot on Gerrard of course but a different skill set in my world. As great as he was.
