I think our strike force is looking stronger now than it was at the start of the window, with two hungry players and we're in a better position financially too

NESV have shown that we can reinvest every penny and more, and we have two young strikers who, in partnership, can fucking ruin repuations.
I honestly believe now that, with the owners and possibly still with Kenny, we can be a team to be reckoned with in 18 months. Three more transfer windows, and possibly by the start of the 2012/13 season we could be back challenging for the top 4 and maybe more.
Gerrard and Carragher will be big losses in years to come, but our youth is brilliant and we have top players coming through from age 16-20. Add the new guys, and hopefully the skipper Reina and a leader in Meireles, we can fucking do this.

It was an exciting day and IF our new strikers both work out then we're sorted in that position for a few years.
But we're still going to let in loads of goals.

Of course it was a bad window, we were trying to act, and instead were left reacting. This saw us overspend massively on a huge risk, and not address our fucked up central midfield.
I can listen to justification after justification, and I can make them myself, but I know I'd be happier getting Torres for 50m, than selling him for that and spending most of it on Carroll. It's going to be horrible seeing Torres in blue, and hopefully we now have some players who want to be in red, but Torres was a phenomenon for us, brought me such joy, and it's unlikely that we've brought in players that will reach those heights. We could be a more effective team though.
