Are we riding our luck?

I don't disagree, but we are sooooooo much better equipped to do it than we used to be, they know it too and they're definitely worried about us (witness Guardiola saying in the last day or two that, if they don't win it, it won't be a tragedy). It's on like Donkey Kong.

Jesus Christ. In all these years, I never thought it would be you, of all people you, who would betray us. Why man? JudgeJudas.

This year's failure is going to be one of the most crushing. Do what I've done and prepare yourself well in advance.

We don't have to win 15 more games, or whatever it is now... We just have to win the next game. And then start again.

@rurikbird - have been thinking more on your question today; - I think we are looking too much into it. If there is one area where we could point to being lucky ...is having a predominantly non creative midfield and still being top of the league.

I'm less confident after seeing City beat Huddersfield in an away game by 3 goals, while making neutrals feel almost disappointed it wasn't 5 or 6. De Bruyne, Fernandinho and Aguero are fit again and Sane is back to being unplayable. They are also on track to score more than they did last season – imagine that! We'll have to be almost perfect the rest of the way to win it.

Ya I don’t see them dropping points until the CL and FA cup q/f at the earliest.

We just simply have to keep winning

That non creative midfield probably has something to do with our incredible defensive solidity this season though (aberration against Palace apart).

It may cost us - conceding 3 goals at home against palace is a worry. Also not every creative player is a soft pussy like coutinho was for us. I mean Neves for wolves ... he can really tackle well.

One slip by City would give us at least a 6 point buffer, two slips (which is likely over 15 games) gives us at least 8 points, that's 2 defeats and a draw or 1 defeat 2 draws or 4 draws. People talk about it being only 4 points but it's a very nice buffer when added to City's potential slip ups.

It's not that much of a worry at all. Milner getting destroyed at RB, Matip first game back after injury and 10 vs 11 before their 3rd goal. Next game onwards we've got TAA and Matip then TAA & Gomez to look forward too, plus 11 players we hope !
