FORMER Liverpool owner David Moores is staying away from Anfield because he is becoming increasingly upset with the club’s American owners.
Moores – a Liverpool fanatic – made £90million by selling the club to Yank pair George Gillett and Tom Hicks in 2007.
It’s understood club president Moores, 64, is unhappy because his privileges have been cut.
The former chairman was told he was no longer welcome in the directors’ box and told that any refreshments would have to be taken in the sponsors’ room.
In addition, a stunned Moores was informed that he could no longer travel to Champions League away games with the official club party.
As a result, Moores, who hardly ever missed a game, has rarely been seen around Anfield this season and missed yesterday’s 6-1 Hull thrashing – a situation, which he has told friends, is likely to continue.
