Liverpool reportedly sent Alberto Aquilani to Belgrade to see placenta doctor Marijana Kovacevic in an effort to get him fit for festive action.
Aquilani missed Saturday's defeat at Portsmouth because of a calf injury and according to the Daily Mail, flew to Belgrade to have treatment along with reserve striker Nabil El Zhar.
The Italian midfielder has played just 45 minutes in the Premier League since arriving in the summer from Roma with an ankle injury.
But with Javier Mascherano now facing a four-match ban, Aquilani will be needed as Liverpool face Wolves and Aston Villa in the space of four days next week.

Unsubstantiated rumour from TLW about Aquilani: one of the reasons he hasn't played much is that he has been consistently shit in training.
Oh dear.

I suggested he might well be shit a month or so back.
