Yes lets sell one of our most talented midfielders to a rival.

Adam Johnson, are you kidding me?
Give us Silva at least.

If there's any truth in this, we should try to get Kolarov in exchange. With the arrival of Gael Clichy they might be willing to listen to offers.

Mate, he's fucking awful.
[/quote]

I don't think so. TBH, I've seen more of him while he was playing for Lazio. He's pacey left back and decent crosser with a powerful shot. Maybe a bit suspect defensively but Clarke might improve that part of his game. He had a problem with injury at the beginning of last season and probably didn't regain his old form.

Before selling Aqua for 10mil, sell Lucas for 8mil and get over with. We have plenty of central midfielders anyway.

I agree with my friend Glock...

Lucas was shite in a shite Brazil team against Paraguay and got sent off for a stupid reaction.

Brazil vs Paraguay was one of the lousiest game of football i've ever watched. Dont get me mention on Lucas.

I would've stayed in a lot longer if your sister didn't cheat on me. Too bad.

Contacted by the editors of Firenzeviola Franco Zavaglia - agent of the Liverpool midfielder Alberto Aquilani - has spoken of a possible transfer of his client to Fiorentina, "There is still a long distance between the parties especially with regard to the engagement, we see over time if something can be filed.

So, the Aqua to Fiorentina story has got some legs on it..

Nah, I think its a transfer. They're selling Montolivo to AC Milan, so they will get some money in.
Mirror saying we want 12 mill for Aqua.

Crystal ball saying no fucking chance.

Italian media are reporting that Aqua will take a pay cut to join Fiorentina. Fee rumoured to be 10 mill £.

Alberto Aquilani's agent has declared that the player will stay at Liverpool for the coming season, playing down rumours of a possible move to Fiorentina.

The Italy international has been consistently linked with a transfer back to his homeland after spending the whole of last season on loan at Juventus, but the Bianconeri refused to meet the Reds' asking price.

Although a move to Juve now appears to be impossible, Fiorentina had been thought to be preparing a bid for the former Roma midfielder due to his apparent willingness to move back to Italy.

Aquilani joined Liverpool in 2009 for £17million as a direct replacement for Xabi Alonso, but injuries and a lack of fitness restricted him to just 18 league appearances as he failed to make an impact in his first term at Anfield.

The 27-year-old was then loaned back to Italy to find his fitness by former Reds boss Roy Hodgson last summer, and the player gradually rediscovered his form to become a key figure for Juventus.

Reds boss Kenny Dalglish appears willing to retain Aquilani's services despite adding three players to his swelling midfield ranks, and the player has performed well in pre-season to suggest he still has a future on Merseyside.

Aquilani's agent Franco Zavaglia insisted that his client was ready to fight for his place at Liverpool, and that he wanted to prove himself in the Premier League.

"Alberto overcame his ankle problem, coming back into the national team and he has the characteristics to do good things in the Premier League too," Zavaglia told Radio Mana Mana.

"He is at a summer camp training with Liverpool, playing positively in all games of their summer tour."

Im so happy I could cry.

errrrr...... That's not really what the agent said.

Hardly a "Yeah!!!! He's staying in the Premiership this season!"

They're just being polite and covering all eventualities. He'll be telling us again in a few days how his client is attracting interest from Italy.

theres enough options. We can pick the correct midfielders accordingly

Too many cooks spoil the broth.

I think the only reason we'd proactively keep Aqua was if Gerrard was only going to feature minimally this season.

i don't think gerrard will feature much, which is why we've overstocked the midfield. i think we're getting loads of CMs to try out what does and doesn't work without stevie

gerrard works well with anyone though (besides lampard), but it's better to have too many midfielders than not enough. We're not going to play set people/tactics every week, so its better to have options from the off and as subs

Wow, what a player we just threw away last season.
Henry was right in calling him the "missing link" in our team/gameplay.
