This formatting is worse than anything else he did on or off the pitch.

One thing Sakho never did (on the pitch, I mean) was lose a physical battle. I like players who are always up for such battles and win them more often than not. When we sold him to Palace for what was then quite a high fee (£23 mill.) plenty of Reds thought we'd diddled them, but they didn't share that view - they would tell you Sakho was the main reason why they didn't get relegated that season. In the end he proved not to have the skill or game intelligence we need, but looking back I find I can't be too harsh on the guy and I hope he sorts things out.

If he steps out too often then that is a Klopp problem not a Konate one. So if Klopp is happy with that then the issue becomes that of the DM or other defenders.
Interesting take.

Perhaps Klopp wasn’t happy with that which is why he benched Ibou for 4 games in a row last month. None of out other defenders step out like he does when out of possession, it looks clumsy when he doesn’t get it right. Still think however he sees him as a long term solution once Virgil and Matip are no longer.

He was coming back from injury and I think Matip was playing well (it's tough to bench someone when that happens, I wish it happened more often) ! And all CBs look clumsy when they don't get it right - look at Matip, he's like Bambi on ice!
