It did seem flat from watching on the telly for large parts of the game.

We are obviously all deeply sad at the news of madges passing.

It's going to be like that, for Ajax fans (or any fans in Europe for that matter) travelling over it's a once in a life time opportunity for a lot of them so they're gonna make the most of it.

For us casual match goers, it's like yeah ok we'll sing here and there but we'll be here again next week so meh sort of thing & I think that's kind of stereotypical now across English clubs....guarentee you PSV fans outsing Arsenal at Emirates, Marseille fans outsing Spurs fans at Tottenham stadium, Sociedad fans outsinging Utd fans at Old Trafford last week.

The night games are generally better, but bar some special nights, it's mostly been average to shit for years.

Feel sorry for anyone traveling thousands of miles expecting some magical experience.

Too many games maybe? Major League Baseball has this issue times 10. So many games and the stakes aren’t high enough for most of them.

Plus the globalization of the game dulls the local tribalism that made the games so fierce before. I think anyway.
