I love it when a bargain comes good. I'd never heard of the guy when we signed him but fucking hell! What a wonderful player. The breakdown from Alan Shearer on MOTD last night was great. He's quickly becoming my favourite player. 🙂

He reminds me alot of our other brilliant asset, James Milner. Same attitude, full blooded tackles and absolute quality with the ball. He reminds me quite a bit of Steve Nicol too.

Apart from being fucking ace from start to finish, one of my kids told me he was the quickest player on the pitch yesterday. Dunno when or how that's measured but that's impressive if true when you had Salah etc about.

That's an illusion caused by him being closer to you on the touchline, so you see him fly past in less time. Salah is further away in the middle of the pitch, and takes longer to fly past you, so your mind thinks he is slower.

Perhaps you should do a modified version of the Father Ted thing with your kid to explain.

Wouldn't surprise me at all that, I doubt he can match the explosive pace of Salah or Mane, but he seems to better almost every opposition player when romping down the pitch despite some of them starting ahead of him.

They might not, what if they stubbornly stuck to their observation and manage to discover relativity for themselves. It's worth the risk.

Well it's a fact the guy is fucking quick. It's his workrate that I love though. He's like the duracell bunny. He just doesn't stop.... EVER! He was busting his nuts getting forward in the 93rd minute yesterday. He sort of reminds me of Kuyt like that (different positions obvs). His set up for Mane was a thing of beauty!

I always believed he was the type of character who'd thrive at a big club. He's bright, he's keen, and he's really quick to learn. He's still lagging a bit in terms of one-on-one battles, but his whole game is improving rapidly. And I bet the CBs are relaxing a bit knowing they don't have to keep looking over to see the amount of space Moreno used to leave.

I see young Ryan Sessengon from Fulham scored another goal yesterday. He is playing as much in atatck as in defence. I would swoop for him as he would give us two for one ability which Klopp loves. Able to play in defence and atatck covering for Mane or Robertson on the left with no loss of quality. Rumours are that Spurs are destined to get him but we should move in there and snap up this young exciting talent. He won't come cheap but surely that would be the best time to sell moreneo to get real talent like that in.

I've not massively noticed him struggling with one on ones. But maybe it's because I'm used to seeing Moreno lose every. Single. One.

He's getting better, but it's actually one of the few areas where he's behind Moreno at the moment. Robertson has won 229 duels, Moreno 339.

I think we sold Kevin for like 5-6 milion and got Robertson for 8-10 million. Given that he is an almost swap deal for Kevin Stewart., this has been another very good piece of business by the transfer committee and scouts.

One grimly amusing thing from the Echo interview with Martin Broughton concerned the conversation he had with Rafa about a proposed new left back. Rafa was insistent he needed to buy one. Broughton rather tactlessly said, 'Okay, Rafa, but you've bought several left backs since you arrived and you haven't liked any of them, so what will be different this time around?' Rafa almost passed out with indignation. But maybe managers could do with that kind of questioning. In Klopp's case, though I suspect he needed a bit of persuading, he's made a good choice the first time round. What we needed is what we've got - a left back with more defensive nous, more discipline, a better cross and much more potential. What with Salah and Robertson, it's almost as though our transfer team has suddenly got good!

One of the things I like about him and Oxlade-Chamberlain - okay, I know the most important thing is how they do on the pitch - is their attitude. They both act like they really get that much-maligned idea, 'The Liverpool Way'. The Ox was out there yesterday signing autographs and chatting to fans long after the cameras had gone and most players had driven off. Robertson similarly spends loads of times doing the right thing with the fans. It's very nice to see. Footballers can be real bastards these days so it's just nice to see us bringing in good players who are also good people.

K-Stew went for 8 I think

Couldn't agree more. They're both also players who were palpably grateful for the chance to come and play for Liverpool, rather than imagining they were doing the club a favour by agreeing to sign. Long may the trend continue.

I love that they do that. Having been fortunate enough to meet (as a nipper) some LFC players. - Rush, The King, Aldo, Molby - It means so much to a little 'un. My meeting with The King and Aldo was at the same time. I don't think I'll ever forget it. My uncle once told me that Kevin Keegan used to spend hours meeting people after training and signing autographs and basically being sound. 🙂

For sure. Its what I love about Klopp. Its about more than just the football - its how they are as people too...

Like Mane is a big example - I fucking love how down to earth he seems. Salah too. We're building something real

I think he's been quality from day one. You could just tell he was a player as soon as he put the red shirt on; pace, energy, strong tackler, can beat a man and a great crosser. He's the perfect modem full back. It's a bit tough on Moreno who has worked hard to improve but he will have to work harder again to win the spot back. Robertson is fast become essential to Klopps attacking game.
