That's a good point, yes, maybe he just bottled it, although if he did he shouldn't have singled one black player out for a red card, that just seemed cynical.

Definitely, I have no idea what he was thinking of with that red card, don't they issue a yellow card when you kick the ball away as its deemed time wasting? It's hardly like you can time waste once the whistle has gone.
 
That's any absolutely disgraceful statement from the serbian fa. That in itself merits sanctions. A blatant disregard to human decency.

FIFA/UEFA are a fucking shambles. Have been for ages.

I'm not at all surprised some people are becoming disillusioned with football the way things are now.
 
If Serbia aren't punished, the FA should take a very extreme position here to highlight the sickening disease that is still prevalent amongst far too many fans in stadiums across Europe (and the world). Withdraw the team from WC Qualifying and the U21 spot. "Kick racism out of football" they say? Make the world bodies take notice.

I agree, if UEFA don't impose some sort of ban we should shame them by boycotting their tournaments.

I am sure that the world bodies took note when they dished out a 4 game ban and £200,000 fine to EBJT for using the expression "black c**t". The FA don't have a leg to stand on when it comes to taking an extreme position.

...if they're really shocked by what Danny Rose and the other black players endured for their skin color, and what the English players and staff endured afterward, they should take an extreme stance. Boycott the tournaments - it's the only way to really make a statement. You either fight it, or you pretend you don't give a shit
 
The fa won't do anything of the sort, cos it'd cost them cash.

If it costs them money, there's no chance they'll do it.

Fighting racism > money. Those cunts could make a serious statement, and promote change. English fans should just boycott the games and limit the $$$ coming in.

I'm not disagreeing with you at all - quite the opposite in fact, I just think they sent a really bad message out with that soft approach to Terry. That said, whilst racism in football has been around for years it does seem to be getting to be front page news now so the powers that be are going to have to get serious about it. I was a bit disappointed that England were also charged by UEFA after the other night to be honest. If common sense prevails, those "charges" will be dismissed and Rose's Red Card rescinded on the basis of extreme provocation. Don't think that'll happen though.

I agree. But I wonder if England fans - the ones who go regularly to matches - are politically aware enough to organise themselves. They seem to me a strange mixture of excited family groups and lower-league supporters who don't seem switched on about football issues. Maybe that's doing them a big disservice but I can't see them doing much more than getting that bloody brass band to play a bit louder.
 
If fans really gave a fuck, they wouldnt travel to games. No ticket sales, so merchandise, no benefit to local economy.

A total non attendance at away games for 12 months. Infact the FA should refuse to take up the allocation to make sure its known.

In reality the Englands Brave Travelling Supporters group, wont be that bothered.

This is simply unbelievable and after the events of the past few days is hugely worrying.

Despite widespread fan footage (which we have featured on this website quicker than all the mainstream media) – the Serbian media have come out fighting with a YouTube video suggesting Danny Rose was simply not telling the truth.

The English FA must come out fighting here. By putting this inflammatory video on YouTube via their official channel, the Serbian FA have shown they simply do not understand racism

The video is titled: “Danny Rose is lying to whom?”

With the following text in English:

Danny Rose said: “Every time I touched the ball, they were doing the monkey chanting again.”

As you can see in this video, during the UEFA under-21 play-off game, there was no unsportsmanlike cheering and insulting opposing players on racial grounds.

As a reminder, Danny Rose said:

“It started when we went out for the warm-up and over the opposite side to the bench. They started monkey chanting straight away and I asked the lads if they could hear it. They said they could hear it.

In the first half, when I went to get the ball for a throw in, the fans were starting again with the monkey chant but the first half was nowhere near as bad as the second half. I had two stones hit me in the head when I went to get the ball for a throw in.”
