He's just as dodgy as Karius. Well.zybe not quite as much, bit he's very average.

Even though he hasnt impressed since CL games against us, he had an incredible season. Seems to have established himself as the top tier of GKs behind De Gea and Oblak.

Its a big risk regardless. Only one season as the starting GK for Roma. The fee is close to ridiculous, but 25-30 mill gets you Butland in this market.

Had a quick ganders over at redcafe to see their take on this. Pretty funny stuff. Most them banging on about net spend blah blah blah. My favourite is some poor sap who bemoaned their transfer policy. Something along the lines of
"They buy Allison, Fekir, Kieta and we go and sell one of our best defenders with Blind going. WFT is happening?!"

As long as his name isn't Karius then it's an improvement for me. Id play Ward ahead of Karius. I don't care who we buy for the goal as long as Karius doesn't remain #1. The stigma surrounding him after the final is too much.
As you can see, Im not asking for much. I'm asking for anyone. It's either well known keeper, who's hot right now with an inflated fee or some up and coming keeper like when we signed Karius. We've gone for the current popular option it seems. He'll have my support. Good ole Boris.

I know - I am taking the news that Karius has looked very dodgy in the pre-season game recently ?
It is a shame that the entire continent and world knows how desperate we are - I am kind of seriously worried about the fee - it's just so so wrong for a goalkeeper !!! - I take some comfort in the fact that some of that money is to make up for what they lost in Salah - so take 30 million of that 70 off to add to Salah fee and you still have a wopping 40M on a fucking goalkeepr. it's just fucking wrong !!!!!
Go have a look at those 7 goals again and tell me how many would have been saved by any other keeper of your choice.

Everything out there seems to suggest that the player is committed to going to Liverpool. I suppose a massive wedge from Chelsea might change that.
Honestly, with the war we've been recently, I can't see Chelsea offering more than us. Recently we've been offering contracts at £200k a week, only City and United top that.
