Is he the real deal? What's the SCM verdict on him?

24 Goals for Heerenveen last season. 11 so far this season. 6ft tall with good feet and real instinct in front of goal from the clips I've seen.

Never seen the lad play a full match. Has anyone who has give us a run down? Would he be worth a punt after the inevitable departures of Borini and (maybe) Aspas?

I have not seen much of him. Pelle scored more last year though and I do not think he is good enough. Altidore also only scored one less.

I don't think we were ever seriously linked to Finnbogason; we were mentioned more as a suitor for his teammate Philip Djuricic, who went to Benfica (and isn't getting much playing time from the looks of it). Finnbogason has been banging the goals in for fun though for a while now; just a matter of time that he's poached I think. He doesn't seem to have a lot of pace though.
