Aldo on Radio City game broadcasts

I posted this in a thread a while back but thought it might deserve it's own thread:

I may be way off base here but does anyone else enjoy when Mellor is on the commentary with Steve Hothersall rather than Aldo?

I only listen to the Radio City match recaps but Aldo comes across as really unprofessional and downright annoying. I know Aldo is a huge red and a massive supporter but he isn't the best commentator IMHO. He is constantly talking over Hothersall and that alone is annoying as shit but half the time it's almost as if he hasn't done any prep work for the match. Not to mention hearing him come back from halftime late most games and hearing him put on his headset/pic up his microphone and breathing heavily into the mic for 5 minutes, just isn't very pleasant to listen to.

I love his enthusiasm for the Reds but someone like Mellor who is just as knowledgeable but more professional is a more enjoyable listen IMO.​

I really like listening to Mellor's punditry on the youth football. He is sensible and knows his stuff. I think it is fair to say he has a few more brain cells than Aldo, though I have to say, I can't help loving Aldo's unvarnished adoration of all things red.
