Aidy Ward fucking strikes again!

Sinclair hasnt impressed me so far. If he wants to go then fine. Shame if we cant get a fee

Meh who gives a shit. Obviously thinks he's better than he is. Nothing i've seen of him makes me think he's going to make it at a top club.

Hmm. Not ideal but you've got to question if he's shown enough to deserve first team playing time.

I cant say I remember how his loan spells went, didn't he go to Birmingham for a while?

Wigan, I think. Not sure how it went though, don't think he was there very long

the writing was on the wall with this one

fuck him, can he leave now? no point wasting coaching time and other resources on him

He wants to play in SPAIN??? Bizarre. He's quite a smart player, but he's hardly ready for that. Agents and young players: it's called 'grooming' in less salubrious contexts. These kids get taken in by such figures and they believe everything they're told. It's getting more and more disturbing.

Our first team strikers are all young - Sturridge, Benteke, Ings, Origi, Firmino if you count him as a striker - and Sinclair isn't at the level to push anyone off. Not that much of a loss unless he was someone at Sterling's level. We can't really use him now anyway, so meh, I'm not that arsed.

Toni Gomes playing for the U18s now looks exciting, as does Ben Woodburn, so we've got some quality younger guys coming through the Academy in that position. Sinclair's move just opens the way in the U21s for maybe one of them to be tried early (if we so desire) at a level higher to see if they can play out of their age group.

What is worrying though, is that after the Sterling episode, Aidy Ward is still getting his tentacles on our youngsters, and the danger is that guys like Sterling and Sinclair act as advocates for him when consulted by their peers / juniors when they're looking for an agent or considering a switch. Not sure how we can protect ourselves against that unfortunately.

Getting Sinclair out the door immediately would help

"Wants to explore options in Spain"? Cocky little twat. How about gaining some experience actually playing competitive games at your parent club/on loan first.

Aidy Ward, deluded puffed-up cunt as he is, seems to attract a certain type of narcissistic client doesn't he?

Aidy Ward strikes again😀... now if only that was a certain awe-inspiring Sith Lord a.k.a Darth Vader...

Meh, he isn't that good any way.

The point is we paid money for him. Then paid his wages for several years. Wasted resources upon developing him. Then after all of that, he's left for nothing. The idiots running the club, or the idiot rather, will not have to answer for it because on the clubs accounts the value of Sinclair will have been written off to zero at the end of his contract. But that's just an arbitrary accounting convention. The reality is we continually piss money away which we don't have. It's about time Ian Ayre pissed off. It's been that time for years.

No tribunal abroad I'm guessing?
Aren't we owed money anyway due to being his parent club?

He'll be out of the tribunal's jurisdiction. Even if he fails to get a club and comes back here in humiliation, the tribunal will set his fee at what a league 2 club can afford, a few grand.

Well that sucks. But you know how it is with youth players, you win some you lose some.

Some overseas club will take a punt. It would be interesting to see what contract Aidy will be pushing for.. no doubt something short term, maybe 20k per week with low release clause. I think theyll be shocked at the wage differences for mediocre players in Europe. He would be lucky to get anything near 7k per week.

I hope it all goes tits up for the money grabbing shits.

From the Echo:

Klopp on Sinclair's future

“It’s not important to get the highest wages of your life in your first year, it’s about getting a good education.
“I like Jerome, he’s a good talent. If he wants to stay with us then he’s welcome, if not then we can’t stop it.
“We need young players who want to learn, if they feel it’s the right place to learn then good. We can do that next season but not now. There’s no rush. I cannot make decisions for them, we can only offer things and first of all education.”

Also this:

On Jerome Sinclair: “Nothing to say about this. Jerome is very young, so in a situation he has skills but physically it’s not easy for him in a central position in a Premier League game, to survive.

Burn.

Thing is, Sinclair's issue aside, we also have Flanno, Teixeira and Rossiter all yet to re-sign and out of contract in the summer.

That's three players I wouldn't want to see go.

Teixeira will go I think - if he cannot get a game now, I doubt he'll get a game with us.

If Tex isn't good enough to get minutes off the bench at this age I'm not sure how good he'll be long term. Flanno's lack of a contract is fitness related. Having said that I'd be tying him up to another at year at least if he comes through the first few games unscathed and I'd be trying to get Rossiter sorted ASAP too. He's only 18 and has plenty time prove himself.
