I think I'm right in saying that our last 3 games have seen 3 clean sheets. So, now we have sorted out our problems at the back, no doubt we will start looking at what the fuck is going wrong up front.
Agger gives a balance as he is left footed and frankly Skrtel and Carra are not as good combo at the moment.
We are now a one man team. No Torres = impotent. Even Gerrard (possibly not 100%) can't pull us through. Add to this the fact that we were close to unplayable with a fit Torres last year. So far this year he has averaged 1 goal per game. Our last 3 games we have kept clean sheets. So they could have all been 1-0 victories if he was fit.
And yes I am pissed and rambling.

It's not only that. As well as Torres being injured and Gerrard not operating anywhere near 100%, I'd add that Johnson, Riera & Benayoun are also just coming back from niggly injruies that have disrupted their form and none of them are playing particularly well at the moment.
N'Gog has his uses, but is not good enough to play the Torres role effectively at this stage of his career.
Add to that the CB paring being inconsistent, at best, and the impact of Brendan's all-time favourite to players and it's easy to see why we are struggling
The positives are that Masherano has been playing consistently well of late, Gerrard & Johnson's's form looks like they're slowly returning, Agger might be able to put a run of apperances together, and with Carragher settle the CB positions, we still have the best keeper in the League and each week that passes brings us a week closer to Torres' return.
Getting Aurellio fit enough to play LB consistently would be a bonus as would giving Acquilani the odd game instead of Lucas.
