At least he got the score right. Unfortunately Ryan it should have been Napoli 0 - 1 Liverpool (Babel 70mins)

@RyanBabel God damn you sucked today. Get your fucking grips together or you're finished in LFC!! START CARING FOR FUCK SAKE!! .. smileylolz

That Twitter post is fantastic.

Babel is a fucking waster, with no heart or desire, and will never make it at the top level. He's utterly gutless and needs to be shipped out to a Newcastle or Birmingham, where he can ponce around as far as possible. Although, the sad thing is that that is a promotion at the moment.

Babel is one of those players who seems to feature in people's starting line-ups when he hasn't played for a while. And then people almost seem surprised at how shit he is.

I think I've commented on this before - he has the remarkable ability of convincing people he's brilliant from the sidelines. He just has to sit around feeling sorry for himself, write the occasional tweet about how hard he's trying, and perhaps do a shit rap on a Dutch radio station, and some people are convinced that's he's the answer to all our problems. Then he actually gets an opportunity and people's illusions are shattered all over again. And then the cycle repeats itself. Ad infinitum.

I've also seen people say that they'd hate to see him go to another Premiership club because he'd go there and be brilliant. Allow me to alleviate those concerns: Ryan Babel is an athlete, not a footballer. It doesn't matter which club he's at, he'll continue to be just that. He won't develop into a good player under anyone because the foundations simply aren't there. The potential that people talked about when he arrived has turned out to be a myth. He's making the same mistakes he made when he from day one, and even seems to have developed some more gaping holes in his game. He manages to combine a total lack of intelligence with a shithouse attitude. I mean, Liverpool fans are generally quite forgiving. A shortfall in talent can often be overlooked if we see some real application. But Ryan doesn't even offer that.

We were mad not to accept Birmingham's offer for him, because we're unlikely to see anything close to it again. I gave up on him about three years ago. I would advise everyone else to do the same.

I wanted Babel to suceed as i'm a sucker for pace and Babel has plenty of it. However, I think he needs to move on. Hit Brum up for 9million and put it towards a player that can apply himself.

I thought that we would have accepted Birmingham's offer, but Babel was unwilling to move?
[/quote]

Yeah perhaps. Wasn't it also a case of the previous owner potentially witholding the funds. Might aswel keep the player than line their pockets (At the time).

I think its beyond harsh to single out babel when there isn't a single player who has been worth a shit season.

and in case it escaped anyone's attention he isn't even a first team regular, let's all rip into the fringe player.

2 seasons. his first season he was the liverpool young player of year.
I have no idea why people are bothered about babel one way or the other, he hardly fucking plays.
I have critisisms for a fair few liverpool players but not of them are fringe players, what is the point of ripping into someone who isn't even in the fucking team?!

Oh well thats alright then he's only been shit 66% of his time at Liverpool. I will take it all back.

People are bothered Neil because we spent 11 million on this waste of space. When he is given a chance he plays like he just simply doesn't give a shit.

Because he's a shithouse and whenever he does get an opportunity in the team, he shows everyone why he's been left out for so long. You can forgive a bit of rustiness, but a total lack of effort, time and time again, is completely unacceptable. I know you've appointed yourself as Babel's defence, but I think it's time to step down mate. He's a lost cause.

He's looking more and more like a two-trick pony.

He can run and he can shoot. That's about it.

It doesn't seem he's improving anywhere else and as such is ending up with beeing a potentially good to great player on paper who doesn't deliver.

I don't think he's any worse than Jovanovic though. And at times even more effective than Maxi too. Which tell's a lot about our current crop of wide-players.

The real trick is to spot who else can do that in our attacking force.....

If Babel's speed was accompanied by some skills on the ball, a football brain and the desire to chase for the ball, he would be a very useful member of our squad.

I'm not sure about the pace argument. Yeah he's very fast. but he tales about 10 years to accelerate up to it. Football pitches aren't very big, so it's mor about accelertion than pace usually.

True. But who has had a desire to chase the ball this season? Who has shown off a football brain? Who has shown any skills on the ball?

I want to say for the record I defend babel, I don't RATE babel. I thought he had awesome potential but it's patently obvious he isn't going to realise it at liverpool (or anywhere else) I just don't see the point of ripping into a fringe player, what exactly does that acheive?
