Following Blackpool's promotion, I thought of the usual "that'll be 6 points in the bag" type comments when shit teams come up. I decided to check last season to see who we did the double over:

Bolton
West Ham
Everton
Burnley

That's it.

No real point to this thread, just a depressing stat.

I know. It's a little bit sad if the only thing we have to say about a team like Blackpool getting promoted is "oh, another team we won't be able to beat".

We were shit last season and with things the way they are, there is every chance things mightn't improve next year but it'd be nice to take a short break from wallowing in our misery.

I'm thinking of supporting Blackpool next season. Black is a cool colour, and it ends in -pool. And you just know their supporters will enjoy the season more than ours will, even if they get relegated.

I think we should be realistic; we're going to lose players, we have no CL football, the squad is poor, there's no money, no new owners, and the manager is mental, and unpopular
