Naby Keita Doubtful for Remainder of #AFCON with thigh and knee injuries

Why in fuck's name did we allow him to go when he had that thigh injury before he went?
We don't have a say in it. Under FIFA regulations countries can call up any of their players and demand they attend - they then make their own call based on their own medical tests, so in Guinea's case "can you jump over this rope and skip to the door ".

[Keita]
From goal.com " On Thursday, the 24-year-old underwent several medical examinations that revealed pains in his shin and thigh region. He subsequently missed Friday’s training ahead of their trip to Cairo for treatment in the team’s hotel."

If it is his abductor again (inner thigh) that is NOT good news

It's great news that he seems to have aggravated an injury that kept him out since 1st May?
We're still in June, he has time to rest now and get fit for the start of the season.
The injuries don't seem that terrible.

Only 2 weeks til Pre Season and our three attackers are all still playing in summer tournaments. I hope we have a clever plan to rest them in a staggered manner throughout the season otherwise they'll be completely fucked at some point. Could be a blessing if they start the season in good form but has me anxious.

Yeah, this is another reason why we need to sign a top attacker. But it's not looking all that likely.

Sadio just missed a pen. Senegal up by one anyway
I watched 6 minutes of that game and the way Uganda team were tackling - I did not want to watch Sadio get his legs torn off. I mean that goal keeper what was he thinking ?

Has he missed two pens in the last two games now?
I think so. Don't think he can be our regular penalty taker, when Milner retires - we should keep him on our books on say £2000 per appearance - just for penalties.
