Man Utd Watch - 2022/23

Ighalo-style desperation shuffle. I don't think they'll go down but at this rate they'll end up closer to the drop zone than to the European places.

Arnautovic is not without talent in a budget Ibrahimović kind of way, but he went off to the Chinese league for a payday rather than progressing his career to the next level, and has clashed with many clubs he's been at. They're now having to make riskier purchases because no elite talent does not want to go there.

Agree in both respects. Arnautovic has always had talent, but the baggage that follows him around means that it comes at a very high price. They need to do a Newcastle, set their sights lower to start with, concentrate on maximising the players they can get and take things from there. Would have been an ideal job for Pochettino and it remains to be seen whether it'll suit ten Hag equally well.

Yes he can be, no we don't, and we probably could if we actually want to buy a decent 30+ nutcase who's now plying his trade at those European giants Bologna.

He was good 6-7 years ago. Now he’s shite.
Utd are also after Rabiot. Oh dear.

Arnautovic is a classic United move. Mercenary forwards on their last legs. Unbelievable that they havent learned any lessons.

Sanchez
Cavani
Ronaldo
Ibrahimavic
Falcao

Imagine where they'd be with their budget and Michael Edwards

Don’t forget the igloo bloke

Rabiot is with his mum negotiating personal terms. She thinks 1 lolly pop per game doesn't go far enough

Surely not - they’re not that fucked up?

At this rate, they’ll be plotting a move for Neymar next season, along with re-signing Jesse Lingard and having Shhteve McLaren as interim boss while they wait for Frank Lampard to get sacked for relegating Everton.

Never heard of Arnautovic. Is Rabiot that bad?

Played for Stoke for a couple (?) of seasons and looked ok. Bit of a bully type of striker but good feet. Pushed really hard for a move up the ladder and got to West Ham. Within a year he was agitating for a move and got a big pay rise out of it. Scored quite a few but He was soon agitating again for the move.

Went to China and it seems he returned recently to play for Bologna where he had a decent season last year allegedly

Shamelessly stolen from Red Cafe

- Juventus sign Pogba on a free from Utd
- Utd buy Pogba back for £90 million
- Juventus sign Rabiot on a free
- Juventus sign Pogba back on a free
- utd pay £15 million for Rabiot
