with the wages being paid to Matip, I cant see him as squad player.

Would be intresting to see who JK moves on.

Lets hope this lad is better than our last Cameroonian Centre Back.

Has there been any club who has had more fucking shit African players than us?

Camara, Diouf, Song, Diao, Sissoko, Toure, Traore, Shitandje.

Wouldn't be surprised if Klopp sold/released Toure, Ilori, Lovren, Sakho AND Skrtel. He'd have to buy at least 2 more quality CB's and that would leave us......2 x New CB's Gomez, Matip and maybe promote an U-21 player.

I would ship the lot of them bar Skrtel and buy one more CB........1 New CB, Matip, Gomez, Skrtel and promote an U-21 (if one is good enough)

Hope we're planning to buy another CB in the summer and have a fresh start with a new regular starting pair next season. Matip will miss games in January and February next year when he represents Cameroon for the Africa Cup of Nations. I don't fancy watching the same pairings drawn from the current group in that busy period (assuming we're still in the cups and in Europe).

Wonder if there are any legs to the Subotic rumours in the winter transfer window, and if so, whether it was a case of us wanting to bring in both or just one of them.

No problem with Momo, he did well and we made a profit when he was sold I think.

I didn't either TBH, but it doesn't really matter to me. Without Momo our trophy cabinet would be one FA Cup lighter - Stevie understandably gets the plaudits for those goals against W.Ham, but without Momo playing the Hammers practically on his own for long stretches of that game we most likely wouldn't have got the chances in the first place.

Yes, that was a fine display. As was his performance against Barca. Great wrecking ball at his best. Totally clueless at his worst.

I havent spoken to Neil for ages, we stayed in touch via email for a while and he said to me he would come back. Whatever happened to bharat too?

His worst came post injury. He was generally excellent before then (if as a destructive force rather than a creator), and earned his place in the 'best midfield in the world' song. I can remember a game where we had a midfielder sent off against Chelsea and he singlehandedly bossed Essien and Lampard. He was a monster.

Point is, he doesn't belong on your list.

Yeah I'd give Momo a pass too. He was incredible in a charity shield game vs Chelsea too. Him and Zenden bossed them. Ha.

Momo nearly deserves to be on the list for that awful boot up in the air against United. Can anyone remember it?

I fucking loved him.

He's great on Twitter. Winds the blueshite fans up all the time.

Back to Matip for a sec, are we happy with this? No such thing as a free transfer but is anyone opposing this deal?
