I would gladly be looking into bed in some of our young attacking players towards the end of the season now. It's all over; our season and the future of our strikeforce.

I mentioned this the other day, but I love how his first reaction is to face the goal when the ball comes to him. Same for that first goal - his initial response isn't to do the safe thing, control and retain possession, it's to turn and face and attack. A small but glorious attribute.

I know most refs for reserve games are poor but that ref was a shocker. He looked like he'd escaped from that old sitcom Different Strokes (he only looked about five foot tall) and he got just about every decision wrong. Just before this incident he'd ruled out a great solo goal by Sinclair, so I suspect his tiny brain had finally registered the error by this point so he gave a pen to even it out!
