I do not see Liverpool making up 11 points on Chelsea, so it is time to bow to the inevitable and accept that my pre-season confidence in Liverpool was badly misplaced.

Honestly, I get liverpool supporters deciding we'd win the title this summer, that's the point, but at the close of the summer, I couldn't come close to seeing it, so I'd seriously question the judgment and knowledge of a neutral deciding we'd win.

I still thought we had a chance if Gerrard and Torres remained injury free and Yossi and Dirk performed to last seasons standards.

I factored there enough quality there to have kept us competitive until the arrival of Aquilani. But I didn't expect our defence to completely to fall apart, and nothing of the first sentence worked out for us.

The weight of expectations perhaps was too heavy? I honestly we MIGHT stand a chance.

Yeah squig, our defence is our achilles heel.
