I'm a bit frustrated with Mo for several wrong decisions in attack, but his work-rate cannot be faulted. He was a one-man pressing team at times, with Firmino dropping too deep and Mane probably already feeling the cramp before he was subbed.

No one is pretending that. The big missing part is the run behind. Minamino is showing deeper, but so was mane this game bar one run, perhaps because he felt something.

Not when there is a player in a better position to score. He did set it up for himself nicely

Yep. That block was brilliant, 9 times out of 10 it's under the defender & nestling in the net that shot.

I don't think Chamberlain is coasting or not trying.

That's just his game, unless you haven't been watching. He's not a player who is ever going to be always always involved or influential, he's all about moments and burst of pace and shots.

If you're expecting anything else I don't know what to tell you

Maybe bring in Origi to get another option to hold up the ball and have other players make runs off him? Although Bobby should be able to do it as well, somehow he just cannot find spaces where he can hurt Wolves – except that pass to Salah near the end.

Well, Firmino isn't going to make runs behind, is he?


The problem is that one of our midfield three, usually Ox, is cheating right to cut off the flank play that threatened to carve us open earlier in the half. He can't be there blocking those passing lanes AND support Salah in the corner. One thing that would help would be exploiting the opposite side, but now the through ball on that side has gone away.

I'll be interested to see how Klopp tweaks things.

Don't think it has anything to do with who is the better finisher, Salah was more central to goal with the ball at his feet – a pass would have taken it into a worse shooting position.

That's actually an interesting shout. Hendo can cover more ground than Ox and both support Salah and close down the right side defensively.
