Well, that is some slow-mo tracking back alright.. Klopp will make sure that won't happen here.

Having now commented on this one clip where he looked awful, imagine how easy it would be to show clips of footballer with the one intention to make them look awful?

I mean you could create a Coutinho cavalcade with only mistimed passed. You only need to find 5 and put on some awful music and then make him look wank. What I am trying to say is, that NO ONE in their right mind should ever base judgement on a YT clip of any player let alone if it's only ONE incident.

Baffled why you'd share this @kingbinny unless of course you believe this is a common trait in Carvalho's game?

A few of his actions from the Euro's:

..and with Sporting (and this also showcases some of his ability when going forward).

We need a top quality central midfielder with the ability to play defensively and help control the midfield.

I've seen Carvalho play a few times and not been impressed

No idea if he's any good or not.

The position he plays in is certainly one that needs sorting one way or another though.

Just shared it as I came across this previously. Rather than criticizing simply based on an incident or video, my main thought/concern (albeit only slight) was with his attitude.

It was their opening 2018 World Cup qualifier, a goal down but with more than 70 mins to play, just saw an attack in the opposition penalty area being broken down and this counter attack came right through the middle of the pitch. Little wonder he was hauled off at half time.

This is not just a simple mistake but rather an indication of failing to do what was expected of him (esp. given his role). I don't think many people go around doing such things about other players in his position? It will be interesting to see his relevant stats such as distance covered and ball recoveries over the course of the past few seasons to have a better gauge.

Lazy and ponderous are not good traits for a DM (or for any EPL player for that matter) – avoid! I'm not saying just on the basis of Binny's video. Fortunately it's only Portuguese newspaper bollocks, as always.
