Will.I.An

Whenever i've watched him, he's reminded me more a Ronaldinho type of player, in that he has all the skills and talent. His will to win or as Ruri described "intensity" is the one big question. He kind of comes as across as a Robinho at times, in that he chooses when to turn and play. He also looks like the Ronaldinho type in that, I could imagine him peaking at 30 years, and then going back home and getting fat/lazy.

Skill, ability and potential wise, he's a 30+m player on any given day.

Actual end product on the field right now, probably worth about 20m right now.

If we can get him for between 20-22m, it's a good deal. Above that, we're banking on him fulfilling his potential.

I'd love it if we got him and that front 4 above would be a dream! Coutinho would have a field day picking them 3 out. I didn't mention him in another thread because he only signed for Anzhi in Jan last year and I wasn't aware of their cash crisis. 30M is steap though and if Spurs were quoted that for Lamela i'd be more inclined to go for him but who am I to be picky... Willian yes please.

@JamesPearceEcho: #LFC have made an enquiry for Anzhi's Willian but no bid yet. Deal for Granada left-back Guilherme Siqueira is close to completion.

A front 4 of:

................Sturridge
Willian......Coutinho.......Suarez

Would be unreal. Surely we're not that lucky. I can't see how that isn't easily enough to fire us into the top 4.

Jesus, if we can sort out midfield and defence i'd say with those up top we can push further than top 4.....

If that is our attacking line up next season I am definitely in a milky dreamland

I love your enthusiasm, but we don't have enough depth to push higher, definitely could push top four with that though, that attacking four would have quite a lot of parallels with how Chelsea play actually.

Have we signed this lad yet, according to this thread so far hes got it all, shite haircuts, pace, goals, assists, more shite hair cuts, step overs, great youtube videos, more assists, a stupid name, shite youtube videos, a name that lends itself to puns. Total package, sign the fucker up, otherwise John Henry will just spend the money on steroids for his baseball team

I still dont reckon we will sign Will.i.an
I dont know after missing out on Mkhitaryan Brendan may have more determination to go full bore to secure a top target. He's waited until now after missing out on him to outline a concrete target, this may be the one that doesn't get away 😉

Steroids are cheap. It'll be hgh or similar.

Hopefully he'll hook some of our lot up, if the drug testing folks come a knocking they can just jump over the wall & go missing for a couple of days whilst they get a blood transfusion.

It's the premiership way.

For the record I think we bidded on Costa in case we lost Suarez, now he's had a "change of heart", It's back to build a team around Suarez which also looks like changing to build a team around Coutinho

That's what worries me.

By 25 most Brazilian attackers are everything they're going to be. I can't think of any that got significantly better after that and fulfilled whatever potential was seen in them. At that point all you're hoping is that they hang onto what they have for another five or six years. And not a lot of them even manage to do that

Off the top of my head, Ronaldinho moved to Barca from PSG when he was 24 and went from 'extremely talented' to the world's best player. Rivaldo moved at 24 from Palmeiras to Deportivo, and then at 25 to Barca. Also went from talented youngster to one of the best players in the world.

I'm not sure what trend you're spotting? Am not exactly advocating signing Willian, but everyone doesn't need to go the Diego or Robinho way.
