Hey @localny, I think you dropped this...

Or a “to” as a command

Even then there’s way too many capital letters

The only way they drop points is if Pep's head goes weird from the champions league.

That might be down to tight games against Madrid or getting to the final.

We have played 14 EPL games in 2022 so far and dropped points twice; drawing away to the teams in first and third place

It is a phenomenal run. To expect us to extend that to 21 unbeaten (19 wins, 2 draws) is insane.

We WILL drop further points before the end of the season and so we need more than one slip from City which won’t happen

How many points have City dropped in the same time frame? It’s more isn’t it?

The dog shagger will go all mental with his selection against Leeds if Madrid turn them over tomorrow.

Both teams play the same three teams; Villa, Wolves and Newcastle

We have Southampton and Spurs in addition, whilst they have Leeds and West Ham

Newcastle away for us and Leeds away for them sandwiched between CL games seems the hardest fixtures

There are 5 ways City might drop points: against Leeds, Newcastle, Wolves, West Ham, or Villa.

They've dropped points against Southampton, Spurs, and Palace in the relatively recent past. They were incredibly lucky not to do so against Everton.

Any reasonable assessment of the odds says they will probably slip up in at least one of those. Obviously it's not certain, but the consensus view that we'd need some sort of miracle is irrational.

Draws at Southampton and Palace, loss at home to Spurs and draw with us

Thought so. They’re not pummelling sides. I watched the Brighton game and they really struggled first half to break them down. I’m still pissed nobody from Brighton tunnelled their inner Ramos and killed de Bruyne for the first. Then a deflection for the second. I’ve waffled a bit but what I’m trying to say is they look like they’re on empty.

I look at all their games and think they'll win them, but stats say they won't. So I dunno. If you were looking at this without any emotion it would be entirely logical to think they'll drop points once or twice. But emotionally I don't think they will.

I'm sticking to what i said previously....

I reckon they'll drop points but it'll be a couple of draws so it will be very very tight.

Probably down to goal difference.

I’m going all in on city winning for each game. I’m trying my part as I’m a shit gambler.

City are winning every game, including the Champions League Final against Villarreal.

Included in those wins, will be a slaughtering of Leeds that puts them below Everton and a pummelling of Villa that gets Gerrard fired.

After our devastating loss to Villarreal and the 3rd death of Thiago, we’ll lose the FA Cup Final to Chelsea.

However, the ultimate heartbreak will be suffered after the season finishes, when Lord Divock leaves on a free.

Dantes, is that you?

[article]On paper we should both win all our remaining games, but it doesn’t often work like that.

I don’t know if the CL semis will keep us both honest or tire either of us out.

Exciting times though.

[article]Both of us are going to drop points before the end of the season. Might as well sit back and enjoy it as much as we can.

[article]It's more likely that both teams drop points than that they don't: the chance that both teams will win their remaining games, i.e. 10 wins, is less than 20 %.

There are contextual factors that are difficult to factor in: injuries, luck, officials, fixtures schedule, etc. Liverpool won today but had difficulties. If the same happens vs Vilarreal, they might not be fresh enough for the remaining games, especially Newcastle. We have 4 days before Leeds and may have both Cancelo and Walker at that point...

Agree that we should just enjoy the ride and see what happens.

[article]I wish I were so confident. I’m worried about the Leeds game - in the likely event that the Madrid tie is still in the balance I think Pep will ring the changes at Elland Rd and we’ll have a real struggle on our hands. I’m also worried about Wolves - horrible team to play against.
[/article]
[article]BFEX have 60% chance of us winning next 2 with Liverpool at 46%.

I feel like if they’re gonna drop points it has to be in the next couple, after that they win out and we have a couple of tougher looking away fixtures.
[/article]
[article]It’s a tricky game between the CL games as is ours. Would love us to give Madrid a good hiding midweek so we can go full strength. My fear is that it’s close midweek and Pep rests too many players which he has form for
[/article]
[article]Tough weekend for both teams. Leeds on a Saturday evening will be tricky but no more so than Newcastle for the lunchtime game. They'll want to make a statement.

The CL games do make a difference. Villareal need to hang on in there and hopefully still be in the game after the 1st leg. Otherwise Liverpool can rotate for the away leg and still get through comfortably. It's unlikely our game is going to be done after the 1st leg, and even if we are 5-0 up Pep would start a strong team next week.

To whoever is out there and makes strange things happen - a Villareal win and a Newcastle win please. If we can go to Leeds knowing Liverpool have dropped points on Saturday that would be brilliant.

[article]In all honesty I think weve got more chance of dropping points than the dippers

Ooooh can we have Dan James motor into a few city guys like he just did to Joel Ward!?
